This post will not be promoting Silent Whispers, nor will it promote hate towards Silent Whispers. This is an analytical post based on what we have seen at Bilibili World and why it needs to be talked about. Under no circumstances are we going to mock, make fun of, or hate any of the characters and their looks.

Gameplay in Silent Whispers and why do we know nothing of it?

Ever since their first appearance releasing their pv globally, Silent Whispers has gained a lot of attraction from many gamers and has been promoting themselves as an ‘open world otome game’. They have been called ‘Love and Deepspace 2.0’ in terms of graphics and character designs, and Silent Whispers even made an advertisement in Chinese quoting ‘Like playing games like Love and Deepspace? Play Silent Whispers’.

But can we really call Silent Whispers ‘Love and Deepspace 2.0’?

We have not seen any of the gameplay in Silent Whispers, despite them planning to debut in 2027, which is not very far at all. It seems all we have seen from Silent Whispers is promotional artwork, character profiles, and graphic trailers; however there is not a single frame portraying the gameplay of this otome. Wouldn’t you think they would at least give players a hint?

My point is: why are fans of this game so set on this becoming a success just by seeing the graphics? Well that’s easy. Because we are unintentionally relating them to Love and Deepspace. We think of LADs gameplay while we think of Silent Whispers. We automatically bind the two together without even thinking hard about it, and it makes sense. Amazing graphics, story-based, otome, 3 handsome men as the starting love interests (all with similar traits to the other game).

However, we don’t even know what Silent Whispers is going to be like. Open world game? That’s amazing, but why haven’t we seen anything relating to it? And why have they started promoting more than ever but still refusing to show their potential players a scrap of gameplay?

Now where does BW come in?

A lot of the future Silent Whispers players came to the conclusion that at BW, the game would finally reveal what the gameplay would be like and how the app would work. Many girls were excited to see how the open world gameplay would operate in an otome, and were determined that it was going to be revealed, only to find out that the event was only filled with the cosplayers.

Well, we know for a fact that Love and Deepspace had to drop out of BW at short notice. And as soon as they did, where was the attention spun to? Yes that’s right, Silent Whispers.

In my opinion, Silent Whispers knew that Love and Deepspace would be getting all the attention, and I assure you, barely anyone would have given Silent Whispers a glance is LADs was there. I genuinely think that Silent Whispers is rushing to catch up to LADs, and instead of focusing on the core aspects of their game, they are too busy trying to hire the hottest cosplayers, despite anyone even knowing these characters in a deep emotional sense the way we do with the LADs men.

To me, whilst watching the videos of Silent Whispers cosplayers, they themselves did not know how to act. Let me explain; the cosplayers did not know how to act because they don’t even know what the characters personalities are in a deeper level. They had nothing to go on to study the characters they were portraying.

Let’s look at LADs cosplayers. You could tell straight away that these men had studied the characters up to every single detail. For example, Sylus from Anime Expo not doing the heart sign properly just as in-game Sylus does, Zayne at BW 2024 with he exact same hand gestures as Zayne in-game, Caleb at LADs 2nd Anniversary event always looking back just as Caleb in-game does. All of these small actions make a difference, because we all have an emotional bond to the characters and we notice these little things.

However with Silent Whispers, it felt so detached. It was not the cosplayers fault, because they were genuinely amazing. But I will say, there was no emotional connection with this event. Even the girls themselves didn’t know exactly how to act with the cosplayers, because they don’t even know the characters. And the cosplayers never had any fixed personality or vibe to them. Theron for example just kept switching from chains to making heart signs everywhere and acting cute. I just felt this was more of a ‘omg hot guys’ instead of an actual bond with characters that you love.

This is why Silent Whispers should have at least developed more information about their game instead of throwing cosplayers at everyone the moment they have a chance to. I’m sorry but it’s quite obvious they were trying to catch up to LADs, but what they fail to understand is that LADs has had 3 years of experience with these events. They know their players and they know their characters. It seemed to be that Silent Whispers doesn’t even understand their own characters.

Now, here is where it gets more interesting. An official Rafayel cosplayer had attended BW on the second day, and people recognised him as a previous Rafayel cosplayer from one of LADs official events. Whether or not he was hired, we do not know for sure. However, he alone was able to gather double the crowd that Silent Whispers had gathered.

Now imagine if all 5 of the LADs cosplayers were there? I’m sure we all get the picture. All of this is very off to me, because it feels as if Silent Whispers knows very well how people react to Love and Deepspace, and they think ‘if we mimic them, we get popular’ and it works. However, it works to a certain extent, because Love and Deepspace is more popular, whether anyone likes it or not. They understand the depth of the characters and they have been able to structure a fixed gameplay and story, which Silent Whispers has failed to do at the moment. I don’t like Infold, but I will admit they are very good at what they do in terms of the storyline, and gameplay. They know what their audience wants (even if they do a 180 on us) and they know how to get us invested in official events.

I'm not sure how many of you have seen the post below, but I want to warn you before this becomes too widespread.

Please be aware of users that appear to be giving helpful information. As I've said before, take everything with a grain of salt. Unless there is concrete, verifiable proof, don't pay it any mind.

It's posts like these that cause unnecessary fear, anxiety, and infighting. Statements need a source. Posts need proof. Don't allow things like this to pull you away from the community this protest has built. Be mindful of what content you interact with.

First things first. Calm down and take a breather, grab some coffee and chocolate or anything that'll help settle your nerves for the moment, and allow me to tell you something.

Now, I am very unbiased in what I’m about to say, and just know that I am someone who is boycotting at this moment and has been for the past 11 days (has it really been that long?). I might sound a bit harsh but know that I wanted to pull for Rafayel’s 4th Myth myself, however I will not be doing that now due to the boycott.

We need everyone to realise that if Rafayel’s Myth is implemented on the 17th, this practically confirms that Infold has every right to release Valko, and that they are in the clear from the government. Because we know that Infold is possibly being reviewed for censorship, however if Rafayel’s Myth is released and we find that it has mature themes, it is practically confirmed that they are in the clear now.

And what does that mean?

That means we have to boycott like crazy. As many people as possible. That means the Rafayel girls need to restrain themselves, just like the Zayne girls did when GOA had his rerun. Just remember, a lot of girls did not have GOA and wanted him, however they made their sacrifices and decided not to pull for him. Now it’s Rafayel’s turn. And I’m not saying this out of spite, or hatred or anything, but we need to show Infold we will not stand for Rafayel being used to gain all the revenue they have lost during the boycott.

We need to boycott Rafayel’s Myth too. Think about it. Rafayel is Infold’s baby (I saw this on X and found it funny and cute please 😭). He’s Infold’s face of the game and we need to prove a point by showing we will not tolerate this. Rafayel mains should be angry he’s being used like this. That Infold decided to slip him in knowing we aren’t asking for this right now.

We need to show that we are demanding for them to give us what we were promised. That’s the most we can do right now. So I ask, please do not pull for Rafayel’s Myth, and certainly to not spend money.

If you are very desperate, and I mean soul crushing dying on the floor desperate, then pull on the last day without spending any money. That’s the main goal. No spending. Not a single penny, dollar, coin or whatever.

We know for a fact all the anti-Valko girls will be spending like crazy on this banner. They have it planned and they know that no one can stop them. All we can do by fighting back is not spending anything and not pulling.

And even if you aren’t a Valko main as a Rafayel girl, just think you’re doing this for Rafayel. Show Infold that you won’t tolerate Rafayel being thrown in the crossfire to pick up for their mistakes. That’s just an insult towards him and everything he stands for.

In China, "under the PRC Civil Code, companies have a legally protected reputation. If a news outlet, blogger, influencer, or another company publishes false statements that damage a company's reputation, the company can file a civil lawsuit." We have to trust in the fact that Infold's legal department is mobilizing.

To my understanding, DO NOT MOVE TO CN APPS. Their media (RedNote, Weibo, etc) is highly controlled. We have the best chance of success on our own apps (X, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, etc.) We are already trending on X.

Our goal is to flip the narrative. Show why they are incorrect. Prove that they're spreading misinformation about Valko and LADS. We bring the receipts. What they printed, next to what's verifiably true. Keep it straight-forward, to the point, and undeniably factual.

This cannot be rushed—it could backfire immensely. We cannot go against their government because it could negatively affect the CN players. The problem needs to be highlighted as “a danger to the positive view of China” from foreign players.

From a user on X: Bringing the importance of Chinese culture and tradition abroad, is the key part of all of this. It is our only leverage. We need to mention our only wish is for the company to keep being able to spread Chinese culture. We need to show them how we engaged with Chinese culture, and the charity we did in the name of the character we wish to have back, so that the company can continue.
