my cat Max isnt that mean cat hes a different cat

I'm trying to get Max to eat the wet food I bought him a while back. Whenever I open one of the cans, he gets really excited and meows and meows until I set the bowl down for him... but then he just laps up all the gravy and leaves the food behind. I'm not sure if he fully understands that it's food. I think he thinks wet food just a vehicle for him to get gravy into his body

Max executed a perfect blep today. I almost managed to get a picture but he started to sniff my phone as soon as I held it up, which sadly cancelled out the blep
