He can’t control it, people in this time don’t even have words for the way that he is. Other people he could have relied on to help him would despise him for having a bad brain and hurting Shizun. He must feel so isolated. The only other person I think could understand and help him would be Yue Qingyuan who grew up with and loved Shen Jiu, but Yue Qingyuan, but they don’t like each other at all.

yue qingyuan is treated with so much ignorance in the fandom, simply because he is not part of the main cast, his flaws are not palatable, compared to shen jiu and bingge, hes an angel, his reason for not being able to save shen jiu was so, so valid, he had no real power over it, his real fault is that he doesn't choose to communicate about it, which harms himself, shen jiu, and people around shen jiu, but that's what makes him realistic, if the fandom can understand why shen jiu abuses and why bingge rapes, yue qi shouldn't even have to be a topic
