That young astrologist warned Dainsleif beforehand not to press Wanderer!MC on their personal affairs.

No philosophical questions.

No political questions.

No questions that might be too personal.

Go in, take or do whatever is needed, get out. Nothing fancy.

MC’s already familiar with the Abyss Order, so there’s no need to test them on anything.

Just keep it as simple and professional as possible.

So he cuts straight to the point about the Abyss Order, and the commissions go swimmingly.

Perhaps literally. There were some bodies of water that only MC could cross, and they had no qualms with carrying some extra body weight across. Thankfully, none of the waters were dangerous — such as being Electro-charged — or that would have been a serious problem.

Dainsleif retrieved the key artifact he was looking for, and MC found some odd wooden splinters that contained very strange energies.

But now, Dainsleif certainly has some new questions.

Like why Scaramouche so closely resembles the Electro Archon while having draconic traits.

Wanderer!MC: “Because I was created and then discarded by the Electro Archon. Turning me into a dragon was your little princess’s doing.”

And why they have a little sprite tagging along with them that have some motifs of the Shades of Life and Death.

Wanderer!MC: “Because Amayo was created by the Shade of Death. Rhinedottir and Alice just redesigned them to make them look cuter. Not that helping me out will earn either Shade any favors from me. If you’re going to keep asking questions, it might take the entire day, and I don’t think you have that kind of time.”

Dainsleif: “…Actually, I do happen to have time.”

Wanderer!MC: 😑 *sigh* “Grab a seat. I’ll make us some coffee.”

Dainsleif: 😨 “Isn’t that your fifth—”

Wanderer!MC: 💢⚡️ “Not a word of this to Columbina.” ⚡️💢

Dainsleif: 🗿💧 “Thank you for the coffee.”

...But now that's she's been mentioned, I wonder how she's been since, uh, you know... when she and Wanderer!MC had a come to Jesus meeting after she decided to play around with stuff she shouldn't have...

Sides tbat, glad to see Dainsleif and Wanderer!MC are seemingly getting along. Lol, Dain experiencing first hand Wanderer!MC coffee addiction and also silently wondering how the fuck they're even still alive at this point.
