i highly doubt it, there’s no way there would even be talks to create a spinoff chb series for books that haven’t even come out yet if they weren’t confident in public interest for the main series that people had twenty years to marinate on. i feel like they might do a joint s4/5 renewal. that being said, i’m scared for what they’ll do for s4 but i hope they’ll do annabeth’s perspective justice

every time he gets a co-writer on his new books, they maximize their joint chop and cook up some bullshit you’d have never thought they could, and that isn’t a compliment to his solo writing either. it’s hard to take this pokemon ass title seriously but i feel like he’s making the books more and more juvenile, maybe catering to the new show audience and hooking them in with new content, which i understand from a business perspective. if this allegedly takes place between tlt and som, i wonder if we’ll get younger percy and annabeth cameos/mentions and if their characterization will be far removed from how it was in 2005. as far as i’m concerned, chb forest stories peaked in botl era between annabeth and percy getting stuck in the labyrinth and everyone assuming they were making out and the terrible flirting in the bronze dragon when trying to rescue beckendorf from the myrmekes. bring back peak

i wish her friendships could be explored more outside of her and percy’s mutual friends, too. or how her friendship with someone both she and percy are close to differs from percy’s friendship with them (ex. beckendorf). or who at camp really lended her a shoulder to lean on when percy was missing besides piper and rachel. and if some of those friends happen to harbor a crush, i can’t blame them. percy should never get too comfortable <3

i think it’s funny that connor’s essentially replaced luke as a love interest in fics because i never once imagined that happening in 2020 and i don’t mind it, but anyone that uses it as an excuse to push the perachel agenda is so missing the point😭. i remember that happening even on tumblr back in the day and i was like🧍🏾‍♀️well actually no. or the concept of annabeth pining over connor…like baby SHE is the prize, not connor fucking stoll. as long as people get it’s 1) because annabeth had more well-founded longtime camp friendships than what was shown on paper, 2) because having a crush on annabeth chase is probably a rite of passage at camp, same as percy, and 3) because connabeth is and always has been for the jealous percy agenda!! he should be sweating and sick to the stomach and holding grudges against all sons of hermes <3
