Sometime in the future it all comes out. Kevin slipping up and admitting what he knew - already knew for years - and Jean is already ready to toss him out.

Disclaimer: I do not remember where Kevin stands with acknowledging the feelings Jean had for him in canon, this is just my interpretation of it, something silly they can bicker about in the future and it only ends with Jean rolling his eyes at Kevin and Jeremy laughing.
