Just wanna bring attention to everyone in the notes making excellent points. It's not only fine to live at home because you can't afford to move out, also
Disabled and mentally ill people whose disabilities and illnesses prevent them from living independently exist
The idea that you should move out the moment you turn 18 or you're a loser is an American centric belief and other places in the world do not follow this or it's tradition to move out of home only after getting married or at a much later age and many households in other countries are multigenerational
Many people DO want to live independently because their parents/family are cruel to them but they don't have the income or resources or saftey net to just up and leave an abusive household and saying that it's bad that they still live there further makes them feel like shit and isolates them
It's okay to just like living with your parents
Even if you can afford to move out, rent is the majority of your income and multiple roommates are often needed, so it's still tough to do
There are many reasons why someone may still live with their parents(and also, for why they don't drive or don't have a job or aren't in school if that's the case for them). These things are arbitrary and don't make someone not a "real" adult. People have their reasons and it's not your business nor your place to judge them for it.
