Hi :) I'm really sorry to bother you. I'm an italian pharmacy student and I'm interested in the clinical pharmacy residency. In Italy there is no such thing so I'm trying to figure out what this residency is, what role does the pharmacist play in the hospital. I imagine that your spare time is limited, but I was wondering if you could give me some information. Can I send you a message? Would you be so kind to help me?
Itās absolutely no bother! The role of the clinical pharmacist varies depending on a number of factors (e.g. community hospital vs academic medical center, size of the institution).Ā I can give a brief overview of my day as an inpatient medical oncology pharmacist. I work with patients with solid tumors, myeloma, and lymphoma primarily.Ā
If you have more detailed questions let me know!

0900 ā 1030 ā Rounds with intern/resident service (e.g. make recommendations on pharmacotherapy)
1030 ā 1200 ā Rounds with nurse practitioner service
1200 ā 1300 ā Grand Rounds or staff meetings are around this time
1300 ā 1530 ā Following up on patient care and meetings
