Comic Book Convicts

Multi-comic arc for the origins of the Red Lantern Atrocious. There are a lot of really good restraints throughout, and I wanted to include them all. First five have Atrocious restrained and detained in the ship of Green Lantern Abin Sur, as Sur is using Atrocious to locate Darkest Knight. Atrocious is restrained in tube cuffs that restrain his hands. He would eventually break out of them, mortally wound Abin Sur, and flee.

Panel six has Atrocious confronted by Hal Jordan and Sinestro, with heavy duty restraints being placed on him by the Green Lantern ring, although that doesn't last for much long. The rest of the panels have him defeated and restrained, heavily strapped to what looks like a dolly that restrains his whole body. His arms are trapped in tube restraints, his waist completely covered, his chest strapped, and his mouth muzzled and strapped down. It appears he cannot speak with the muzzle, although possibility that it is also a breathing apparatus for him to breathe in space. He looks like to be restrained with the Green Lantern ring, but the last two panels have him restrained to a metallic and physical restraints of what he was in before.

Continuing from prior posts, Tombstone, wearing an orange prison jumpsuit, after escaping from Ryker's Island, drives up to where Jigsaw is hiding out at, and begins to retaliate by opening fire and destroying the place. He later flees when the Punisher comes out to fire back.

Tombstone, wearing an orange prison jumpsuit, is locked in solitary at Ryker's until he signs a contract over his criminal empire, until he is later broken out of prison, but not without taking out the guard that is keeping him in solitary. A continuation from a prior post from before.

Omega Red, captured by the Sentinels, is restrained with a high-security muff cuff attached to shackles at his ankles, and muzzled, as he is escorted to his cell. He doesn't last in these restraints for too long, but for the brief moments he has them on he looks very good.

Regent, after being defeated by Spider-Man, is arrested by S.H.I.E.L.D. and taken into custody, restrained with a thick muff cuff restraining his hands and attached to a thick collar around his neck, presumably one that restrains his power. Love these kinds of heavy-duty restraints as they always look so good on people. Especially on big men!

The last one of this little series. Regent, the warden for the Cellar, is arrested for his crimes, and is locked up in his own prison, wearing an orange prison jumpsuit and restrained with heavy-duty handcuffs. He sits in an observation cell.

A prison transport arrives at the Cellar, the supermax prison built under Ryker's Island, with many prisoners wearing orange prison jumpsuits and heavy shackles attaching their wrists to the harnesses around their chests. One of them, Tombstone, is led away from the rest of the new arriving convicts and led to a separate chamber, where he is placed in a tube and put in suspended animation, where his powers is used by the warden, Regent. The last panel sees several more inmates similarly restrained and put in suspended animation. This is a continuation of the last post.

A lot going on here. The Ox is apprehended by Miles Morales, with webbing along his biceps, chest, and hands behind his back. He is then secured in high-security restraints, covering practically his entire body, and is loaded on a dolly cart into a transport aircraft, where Goldbug, Walrus, White Rabbit, and two Goblin Nation goons are also heavily restrained and awaiting transport to the Cellar, a supermax facility located on the location the now defunct Ryker's Island stands but underground the old facility. All the detainees are processed in and wearing orange prison jumpsuits and heavy restraints cuffing their wrists to a restraint harness. Both Walrus and the Ox are separated from the new inmates and sent to isolation tubes, where it is filled with water and they are put in suspended animation, with their powers used by the owner of the new facility, Regent.

I love comics like these where convicts are transported to penal facilties, I love comics where convicts are processed in, I love comics that have convicts and detainees wear high-security restraints like these, especially for big guys like the Ox, and I love seeing prison jumpsuits on big guys.

Scarecrow, being transported out of Arkham Asylum, is confronted by Catwoman over an action that he did towards her. He later breaks out and gets the better of her. He is initially restrained in a straitjacket and restrained while in the transport vehicle, but soon breaks out of the jacket and the restraints and has on the clothing that, presumably, he had on at the asylum.

Two-Face, assaulting an Arkham Asylum employee, is confronted by Catwoman over an action he allegedly did, only to have it reveal that it wasn't him that did it. This is to lead up to a post I really want to post but wanted to make this first as I didn't want to backtrack.

Theodore Little, heavily restrained in a straitjacket, is being interrogated over his master, Mr. Poe. In the following issue, he breaks out with Mr. Poe (who is a cat) in hand. Such a fun straitjacket design with the thick straps going around his biceps and arms, and a collar around his neck keeping it all in place. Very restrictive and snug!

Deathstroke, wearing a straitjacket, is in Arkham Asylum. Both of these are from the covers of these issues. This is part of a multi-issue story ark that starts on #36 and goes up to #40, but he does not wear a straitjacket and just has on orange convict pants and a shirt that I don't quite care for. But wanted to share the straitjackets that he wore on the covers.

Deathstroke, heavily shackled and in prison, later escapes and goes after his intended target, the warden. He later escapes and is seen undressing out of his orange prison two-piece uniform. A favorite of mine for the big image of him heavily restrained, that side profile of him restrained, and seeing him undress. Wish we got to see more of him in this prison espionage mission. The top image shows the cover of Deathstroke restrained to a dolly cart, which sadly does not appear in the comic.

Continuing from the previous post, Deathstroke, handcuffed behind his back and shackled, is escorted by Superman to a private cell run by the C.I.A. where he is supposed to be interrogated, only to get the upper hand and break out. There's a lot of really nice images of Deathstroke handcuffed behind his back that I wanted to make a sequel post.
