dogs wagging their tails really fast, not just how they do from walking

dogs playing with dolphins.. ah yes..

If a baby fox’s parent dies or gets separated, its next “parent” mob that it follows is a wolf ...or maybe your tamed dog/wolf!! imagine running through a taiga and suddenly you’re being followed by a baby fox. you and your dog are its parent now. forever. I would cry

dogs curling up and sleeping, like foxes do

different sleeping animations for them (laying on their side, laying on their stomach, sleeping on a bed with you, preferring to sleep close to a furnace or campfire, sort of like cats. Perhaps also more inclined to do this on carpet and wool blocks)

while waiting for turtle eggs to hatch, your dog would help you protect them from harm

dogs holding things in their mouths like foxes do, and maybe sometimes being too stubborn to let go of it for a bit, especially if it’s a stick or a bone

some type of dog armor perhaps, like a vest on its back- if it’s leather then you can craft and dye it

maybe when attacking skeletons they do more damage than other mobs ...because bones, i suppose?

when in a boat, instead of having a standing animation, make them be sitting or the aforementioned laying down- or maybe have their front paws up on the edge of the boat and looking down into the water while you’re rowing it. same thing for minecarts, maybe

if you leave them sitting down and go a certain block distance (aka a mining trip, nether/end, or adventuring), when you come back and “unsit” them, they jump up towards you with their front paws on you... and ofc tail wagging

different types of wolf variants- think of John smith’s or dokucraft’s varied wolf textures!

If you breed two tamed wolves, esp more than once, the baby could be turn into a breed of dog like a collie, husky, akita, malamute, Great Pyrenees, Labrador, or Saint Bernard.. maybe the breed depends on your biome, or just random

Our house at @flowerbed-mc (part 2)

You managed to settle down in a small oak house (that is pretty good by your standards) by a lake, with flowers of all types planted in the front. The modest farm grows wheat as you try and coralle some animals into a fenced off area nearby. Your days pass by as you cycle between mining, getting other building materials, gathering food and adding to your house.

All was good. For now.

Your bed, dyed your favourite color is soft underneath your sore body. You drift asleep quickly, still listening to the groaning, cracking of old bones and the wet crunch of an arachnid’s legs.

Day came as quick as you expected. You look outside your window. Burning figures try and run to the shade but are unsucsessful. Their cries of pain and they fall to ash is almost familiar. But you don’t try and remember.

You shake it from your mind. There’s something else you need to think about.

You’re lonely.

This world is so empty, to you. Farm animals can only be a campanion as long as you have food. What if someone else is out there? They spend all their time looking for you, and you’re here. Fishing and mining in the same spots for what seems like months. You’re here, sitting and wasting away. You are restless and alone. This life can only be done like this for so long.

So you left.

Only for a bit, you tell your self, then I"ll come home. You grab some food and an axe before heading out your door. You look at your house. You’ll be back soon.

So you leave.

You wander towards the mountain to see what lies behind. More plains, vast and filled with flowers and wildlife. The horses and cows pay you no mind as you walk by them. So you keep walking, finally reaching a forest. You can’t see far into it. Not much light gets through the thick leaves. But you can feel something pulling you in. Something deep stirs inside you as you walk in and remember some words that felt old as time it’s self : Curiosity and Discovery

These feelings dragged you deeper into the forest, as it got darker and darker. You feel a buzz, or a rush of sorts go through your whole body. You sprint and jump as you go faster through the woods, remembering this feeling: Exitement. Fear with more joy.

You run and jump and use your energy until you finally burst out into a clearing. It’s darker than you remembered. In the distance you see…houses? Did I make those? You ask yourself. You start to walk closer as the sun finishes to set. You don’t even notice how dark it got. You’re mesmerized.

You don’t even notice.

You don’t notice the hissing sound behind you until it’s too late.

You turn around to look the Creeping Monster in the eyes for a fraction of a second. You’ve never seen one this close before. You don’t even know what it does.

Until it explodes.

It explodes it’s self and, unfortunately, you.

And you get up from your bed in a jolt of movement. Your chest is pounding and you feel like you can not breath. You wipe sweat from your forehead as you realize you’re home.

You think of Nightmare, for even if it’s not a very new word you are remined of it. But as you look for your things you begin to realize that is not the word you are looking for.

It was not a nightmare. It was very real.

Endermen, villagers, and the player all share a common ancestor. This common ancestor (I’m going to call them humanoids) built the Nether fortresses and possibly even the villages, since there’s no evidence that suggests that the villagers built them.

These humanoids traveled the land and sea, settling in villages to farm, sailing the seas, building temples to unknown gods in the jungles and deserts, learning how to open portals to the Nether and making homes there.

Long before the player, a group of humanoids traveled to The End. Whether they found or created the portal is unknown, but they did build the stronghold around it. Once in the end, they couldn’t beat the Enderdragon (or perhaps Enderdragons?), and resorted to living there. Perhaps they built bridges over to the End Islands that have long been destroyed, or perhaps the islands were much closer to the central area back then. They built the End Cities, and over time, their sunless lifestyle and diet of choral fruit transformed them into what we now know as Endermen (it should be noted that choral fruit teleports the player, and after generations of living off of it, perhaps the humanoids mastered this skill).

The humanoids that settled in villages to farm and raise livestock grew soft. They avoided the creatures of the night and stuck to peacefully practicing agriculture. Over time, they became adept traders and amazing farmers, but the ability to remove or place blocks was lost. They became what we now know as villagers.

But some villagers were displeased with how placid they believed their people had gotten. They left the villages to build their own homes before the skill was lost forever. They made their homes in dark forests, and filled their magnificent mansions with everything they could ever need (woodland mansions always seemed oddly apocalypse-shelter like to me). As tales of the “soft” villagers were passed down through generations, they became cold and hateful of the peaceful farmers.

The humanoids that traveled to the Nether built immense fortresses to shield their people from the fire and hostile mobs outside. They grew huge and tough to cope with the harsh world of the Nether. And when these imposing creatures died, their scorched skeletons reanimated.

And now we come to the player. Are they a direct descendant of the humanoids, or are they one themself? Are they the random resurfacing of a long-lost race?

It should be noted that the undead mobs, such as zombies and skeletons, look the same as the player. It should be noted that a zombie villager is different from a normal zombie. So, clearly the humanoids could and did die, but somehow their corpses reanimated themselves.

like… black sand beaches? imagine seeing a bright green turtle against that dark sand.

or the Trans Rights! colors of a pink sand beach of a mooshroom island

and those crunchy, crunchy sands with losts of pretty shells like on puka beach in boracay!!! i can imagine so many new blocks just for this biome!
