osomatsu thinks its hilarious when he and the cute human girl start dating, like, human + merman? what? lol? anyway, osomatsu the koi merman looks forward to the visits ALL THE TIME. he acts a little spoiled since shes his favorite person. when he sees her come back, his mood immediately brightens and he does everything to get her attention. even if he acts to act as annoying as possible, he does it. bangs against the glass, swims as she walks and makes faces at her, whatever he can do.when she finally pays attention to him, he acts like his usual self, and they probably spend their time acting goofy and immature. osomatsu takes it to the next level, though, and splashes water on her every time.karamatsu couldnt be happier, especially with such a beautiful woman out of all the fish in the sea! sometimes he forgets that theyre different species. hes a blue betta with quite the frilly look, so he tries to flaunt it as much as possible, especially to her. when she arrives, he cant help staring with these big happy puppy eyes and usually asks what she wants to do that day. they spend their time dancing (karamatsu doing his best to dance underwater) or karamatsu sits to the side and plays a guitar that is provided.choromatsu the parrotfish takes great pride in his green scales, and tries to look as presentable as possible for the woman he loves. granted, the two of them didnt get along at first and that was mainly his fault— he was freaking out over being caught and now being a big show for kids to look at. but in time, he came to trust her, and he doesnt regret it. hes always nervous when she visits, stuttering and fidgeting, hoping he looks super handsome. anxiously asks what theyre gonna do today. choromatsu and her spend their time reading, often her reading the book to him. sometimes she brings her laptop so they can do other things, and choromatsu is extra careful as to not splash it.ichimatsu is a shark merman and was seriously aggressive when they brought him in. they actually nearly used him for dissection and research because they originally deemed him unfit for the aquarium, but then an assistant swayed their decision. even though he owed his life to her, he was prickly and refused to have anything to do with her. until one day she was playing some cute cat game on her phone and he heard a ‘meow!’ever since then, hes softened up and they spend their time playing games about cats or talking about other things. sometimes, as a special treat, she brings over a cat so he can see it but... its a really rare occasion. even so, he cant help but get a little shy when he sees her come in for the day, telling her he missed her and that she needs to come earlier.jyushimatsu is the breadwinner of the brothers, being a perfectly excited dolphin who the kids visiting just love!!! he was originally scared but when he realized no one was gonna hurt him + he was gonna be taken care of, that all melted away. plus his handler was a mega cute girl! hes always a good boy and does tricks without her asking so she can praise him. she probably gets the most soaked around jyushimatsu because he gets too excited and splashes water up like crazy. they usually spend their time playing catch, in a way a dog and human play fetch. sometimes he wants to be told stories, too.todomatsu is a spoiled little sucker in the aquarium, with everyone playing into what he wants. only his favorite people get to see his devilish side and its not so much ‘people’ as it is ‘person.’ his girlfriend gets to see all sides of him, especially the sides where he gets pouty and grumpy when she doesnt spoil him. like jyushimatsu, hes a dolphin, but an amazon/pink river dolphin. and he loooves to flaunt that hes an adorable pink dolphin, winking and smiling for all cameras that are on him. todomatsu and girlfriend spend their time cuddling and playing on their phones. because you know. whos totty without his phone? he just gets a special, waterproof one. which he insists on using whenever his girlfriend arrives. he’s got a whole folder dedicated to all their selfies and the pictures of her.

She gave a brief groan of frustration as she crumpled another paper and threw it behind her.“Ah—“ Osomatsu twitched as it bounced off his head. “Hn? Babe?” She didn’t answer. He stood up and waddled over, peeking over her shoulder.“Babe, ya need some help?” Now she looked up at him, pausing only momentarily. She smiled and shook her head.“Nope! I just have to try harder, I got this.”“Heh, alright. Just watch where you aim, ‘kay~?” Osomatsu’s words fell on deaf ears as she turned back to her work.———————“Agh—! Damn it... Oww!” She yelped as she held her knee.“It’d help if you stopped moving.” Osomatsu grumbled as he cleaned his dearest’s wound.“It hurts, Osomatsu!”“Well, this is the kinda thing that happens when you play sports! Plus you know how Jyushimatsu can get—““No, I just need to work harder... Then this won’t happen!”“Yeah, I guess.” He frowned and placed the bandaid on her knee.———————“Uh, let’s see... What’s something real inspirational? Oh, like... don’t be sad it’s over, be happy it ever happened? Something like that!” Osomatsu rubbed her shoulder with a grin. She only sniffled and shook her head.“No, I could’ve been a better friend... I’ll just have to work harder.”This time, he was silent, his smile fading.Why does she have to work so hard?———————She cried and rubbed her eyes, shaking her head. “I-I’m sorry! Why are you trying to be perfect at everything?!” His remark made her look up, eyes watering just as much if not more than previously.The annoyance he held was true, “You can’t be perfect at everything! You sure as hell don’t need to be!” He looked away, scowling.“Some things— some things require trying harder, but not everything, alright?! You’re so tired because you can’t stop trying to be perfect! Nothing is good unless you think it is, and you never think it’s good enough, even when everyone else does!” Osomatsu bit his lip and exhaled roughly. Gee, he went on a real tirade there, huh? He looked up to see her covering her mouth in shock, openly weeping and taking his words to heart.It’s her fault, right?He realized his mistake quickly and approached her, gently laying his hands on her shoulders.“I-I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to... get so angry. But it’s...” He sighed and looked her in the eyes. “You can’t be good at everything... and the more you try to be, the worse you’ll feel... then the worse you feel, the worse you act. It’s a never ending cycle. You have to accept some things as they are, babe, really. Even yourself.”She still looked upset. If he felt guilty before, he felt painfully guilty now. He really hadn’t meant to hurt her like this. Cautiously, he wrapped her in a hug. “I’m sorry. I really am. I still love you, okay? I love you a lot. We can...”Osomatsu awkwardly pulled away and rubbed his neck. He didn’t really want to say it after all he just said, but...“We can work harder on it... together. But it doesn’t need to be perfect, alright...?”Maybe he just went in a big circle. Maybe he just ended up making her worse off than before.God.He sure hoped he hadn’t.

depending on how it is, osomatsu might not even notice at first?but when he does, or sees immediately, he’ll be upset too. he doesnt want his crush feeling bad??he’d probably hide it tho, especially considering its just influence. he’d come over to you and rub his nose, crack some kind of really bad joke. hmm no that didnt work. so then he sits next to u and rubs shoulders, a soft blush on his face. “are you okay?” he asks, “you can talk to me, ya know...” probably still try to poke some fun or make jokes, get that beautiful smile back on your face. if you didnt reply, he’d probably sit there with you in silence before trying something else. really if you never respond to his attempts, he’d probably finally offer a hug and his prescence.real talk here, he’d probably manage to get you opened up or feeling better before it comes to a “last resort” or anything. th boy’s got six little brothers with varying personalities and problems, he’s been around the block. at the end of the day tho, there’s certainly gonna be some assurance he cares for you and hopes you feel better soon

considering i got your ask, id say you did it right!osomatsu- good at holding his liquor! but seo, we see him drunk a lot! yea thats cuz he has no fuckin restraint, the utter fool. the chibita tab is huge for a reason and its not just cuz theres six of em- loves his lil brothers so, so much. he treats them like shit a lot n fights with them, but deep down, he’d just die if anything happened to any of them.- most cuddly, hes gonna hug a brother and never let go, much to certain brother’s chagrins. a cuddlebug at heart! most susceptible to nicknames too, like his ichimacchan onekaramatsu- the most emotive. jyushimatsu is too, but karamatsu... karamatsu is so easily seen sad, anxious, happy. he cant hide his emotions, nor does he specifically feel any need to. though there are times where he hides... (such as the no incident.)- SUCH. A. BAD. LIAR. he can lie, he can do it, but god hes gonna crack. and with certain things, you can just tell hes lying. his brothers dont see this though. they all think hes a liar, he thinks theyre liars, this whole family thinks—- likes to be with osomatsu. why wouldnt he? hes not the baby brother to anyone except osomatsu-nii-san. so, he loves to chill and hang out with osomatsu, which leads to occasional babying. these are the sides of the anikis that you dont get to see, really.choromatsu- the most silent. youd often find him alone in the house, reading a book or checking out a magazine. maybe even watching tv, but funny or interesting shows do make him break the silence.- the most trusted with todomatsu’s phone, though its still not safe in his hands. he also has a laptop, which he keeps very hidden.- tries to be nice to everyone. offers his umbrella in the rain, though if it’s a cute girl he sometimes gets flustered and runs away, leaving her there. in the rain.ichimatsu- actually? likes dogs. bigger dogs scare him, but smaller dogs he likes. if theyre the yappy kind, he gets annoyed after a while. but a cat sized dog that doesnt bark too much, resting gently in his lap... 👌🏻- sunbathes, in a sense. just like a cat, he gravitates to where the sun is shining be it the floor, couch, window... he’ll just sit or lay there comfortably, doing his own thing- likes hanging with choromatsu! just doesnt know how to... get it out there. none of the brothers are particularly ideal to spend time with for various reasons, but choromatsu is easy to hang with. even if the energy is awkward because they are, unfortunately, not alone often.jyushimatsu- is the one who brings the big ass dogs that scare ichimatsu. of course, he doesnt mean it, thats just how it happens.- is the most sincere. he can lie, we’ve seen him do it, but if it overloads him or genuinely hurts somebody else... he cant keep it down and he has to tell them.- KARAMATSU!!! loves him. loves hanging with him. they’re so similar. karamatsu is who pitches the balls for jyushimatsu. jyushimatsu stands on the roof and listens to karamatsu play guitar. he sings sometimes, too, but he’s not really that good at it. karamatsu supports him thotodomatsu- lets his brothers use his phone, if they need to. he’s always hesitant and always changes his phone passwords afterward. he also keeps an eagle eye on them so they don’t text anyone he knows- still works at sutabaa, though its really on and off/part time now. he needs to pay his phone bill somehow! (mom and dad have to help sometimes though, with his wacky schedule;;;)- the most giggly. scrolling through his twitter feed, he finds a lot of stuff funny. doesnt boisterously laugh like osomatsu, just softly snickers and giggles, sometimes under his breath and sometimes covering his mouth.
