new meme: reblog with the greenest idea you've ever heard
I saw someone claiming that itâs not possible for me to have an âinternal subjective experienceâ and I honestly think about that every single day.
Or maybe I donât. I have been informed I am incapable of such things.
I have claimed repeatedly not to have internal subjective experience, because nogreen has ever been able to pin down what that means in enough detail that I could confirm or deny it.
Iâm not sure if that counts as the greenest idea Iâve ever heard, since I didnât so much hear it as produce it. And Iâm not green. But it ought to.
yellow art is beautiful!
Speaking of good architecture: 10/10 but would not buy because it looks like a lot of work to maintain
> #yellow art #nongreen art #art is an amentan right hey i donât know if youâre aware but this is actually really ugly? maybe y'all should hire some actual greens so your shopping center doesnât look like a factory cosplaying an oahkar detention facility?
Nah, this looks really nice. 9/10 would buy
Did this architect even know what a curve was, or was he under the impression that it was some sort of oddly pervasive urban legend? Good heavens, it isnât that hard to learn what a circle is.
Of course they did, architecture school teaches you a lot. They chose not to use it, as an artistic choice. And a very good choice, in my opinion.

It was your fault.
Oh, absolutely, I agree. What were we talking about?
Even in less dangerous situations, the question of whether a belief is worth arguing is a more complex one than a lot of ideologues seem to think. At minimum, we have to ask whether doing so will likely make the belief weâre advocating flourish or wither, and it seems pretty obvious from both anecdote and experience, and from a lot of social and psychological research, that the answer there isnât reducible to âdid I make a sound argumentâ or âdid I defend my point of view passionately.â In a lot of cases, ham-handed challenges to a personâs beliefs wind up actually reinforcing those beliefs. And I have to say, if your inclination is to argue and fight even in cases in which the expected impact of doing so on the popularity and social power of your beliefs is negative, then youâre arguing because you like arguing, not for the sake of those beliefs.
WTF YOU WAR CRIMES APOLOGIST
I saw an argument last season that itâs unjust and prejudiced to even consider Ereithâs defense war crimes, since the (ostensible) reason it is a war crime is that it endangers civilians. Itâs a very green take, but interesting.
Switched my header image, I liked this new one from Ereith better.
You are awesome and so are your genes. Decent people are definitely something we need more of.
i dunno if decency is genetic
does anybody have sources
Only anecdote, but I really don't think so.

So, since people have been arguing about child allocation I figured I should lay out my opinions here.
I think âcredit auctions except for bluesâ is a good system. I agree with all the normal arguments for that- ability to earn money is a good proxy for usefulness for most castes, but for blues getting rich depends more on being corrupt or lucky than on being good at serving the public.
But two-per isnât actually a better way of allocating blue credits- âexistingâ is hardly a good proxy for usefulness either. Permissions would be better; the trouble with most permission countries is they allocate Blue permissions *totally arse-backwards*. Blues competent enough to earn high positions should *get grandchildren for that* rather than getting to distribute permissions *only to blues who arenât related to them*.
Oh boy. That is a terrible plan. Let me explain why.
In the Oahk Empire, where all credits were granted by the emperor, there were constant "rebellions" and "treason" that were fabricated so that the "discoverer" would get credit, and thus credits. The "culprits" were almost always put to death, generally in large numbers.
So, consider: when credits are at stake, blues empirically will arrange for mass murder and risk their own lives for a better chance.
Consider also: In Oahk (and some modern permissions countries, but let's just speak ill of the dead for the moment), greens were rewarded for getting advanced degrees and various easily documented milestones, rather than achieving anything of actual value. They proceeded to get endless degrees in various subjects, because credits were more important than progress.
Putting these together, hereâs what you should expect to fall out, under your proposal:
Figuratively-cutthroat politics will become much more literal. Poisoning, assassination, hostage-taking, blackmail, you name it. To the exclusion of good governance. If the positions are elected, then expect massive systematic voter fraud, bribery and brazen vote-buying. (Also short-term-good, long-term-harmful populist policy.)
The positions which grant permissions will be in constant turmoil due to their desirability. This will hamstring their ability to get anything done, so real political power will move away from them and to other offices, or to the unaccountable bureaucracy. (Though if you think yellows would be better at running the government, then you might consider that a good thing.) Within 40 years the positions which earn credits would be basically figureheads, even if they had kept the legal authority they started with.
proof that yellows are, in fact, the best caste
She should compete with the greens in their circle-drawing competition.
âŚâŚoh, right, art greens exist.
(Over here in math-green-world, we take âcircleâ to mean âanything not a line.â)
No, itâs math greens. They compete on speed and precision. Itâs adorable. I guess youâre not a geometer.

ohmigod judge nahk got to sentence the people arrested for obstruction of the proper functioning of the government because they were protesting his radical position that it is wrong to murder ex-reds
he sentenced them to have to touch an ex-red
my boyfriend is so pissed off that he canât volunteer, apparently itâs rehabilitative and therefore orange work
This is a terrible abuse of power but Iâm also kinda impressed
everyone involved in the protest has been arrested for obstruction of the proper functioning of the government, now that is wildly unsurprising
The ACLC considers arresting and charging everyone involved in a (lawful, or without explicit warning it was unlawful) protest after illegal actions by some protesters to be a sign of a repressive state. Why? Because you donât have any control over whether someone at the other end of a large crowd throws a rock. So if you can be arrested for that, then it is never in any context safe to attend a protest. And if you see a protest, the only safe action is to run away, lest by walking near the protest you get flagged by a cop as being part of it. Protests gain a lot of strength from the fact people can see them and join them (or counterprotest); it is effectively wholly illegal to protest if you can be charged for anyone at the protest behaving unlawfully.
States obviously have the right to ban protests except for in designated locations through a permitting process, or to impose restrictions, even onerous ones, on the activities permitted to protesters. If the cops say âdisperseâ you disperse, and if you donât then you deserve what you get. If thereâs violence you immediately sit down with your hands in the air and if you donât you deserve what you get. But if your country charges people for other people at the same protest being idiots, then theyâre deliberately creating a situation where you are uncertain and impacted by uncertainty, and thatâs really bad.

oooooookay. so a guy was stabbed to death in ereith. by the king. and somehow like half of this landfill of a site are not only okay with this, they actively think it was awesome. (a few of the many examples of this: 1, 2, 3)
and like, a lot of people are defending this by saying that dueling is a cultural thing in ereith? as if that makes it better? âcongratulations, this is not a singular case, people die all the time for having angered someone more powerful!â
and yeah i saw the video of someone insulting the king and the king being fine. this is obviously not proof of anything, from the video it seems like either they know each other or it was set up as a pr thing, in either case it tells us nothing about how the king would react to a rando insulting him??? and tbh the fact that this starfireskyglass person would put up an obviously faked/misleading video as âproofâ makes me super suspicious of anything else they have to say, like theyâve made several posts âexplainingâ that according to ereithani culture that blue couldâve backed out and not been in trouble but theyâre the only person i could find saying this? so it mightâve been partly made up as a backtracking thing when they saw the backlash, we donât know
also, someone being unhappy at having to eat at the same table as cleaned trash? is totally understandable? they couldâve been hypersensitive for all we know. and obvs you shouldnât say rude things just because youâre upset but people are acting like itâs so ridiculously rude itâs impossible to even empathise with when thatâs justâŚâŚ. not true
@industrialbruise whoâs that one blue, you know the one, uhhhh @coloursofthenight?
hey colours do you wanna go swear at a king to prove a point
(also iâve found at least one unrelated person backing up the cultural thing, So Like)
âŚI do not think I have ever been this uniquely qualified and positioned for a task in my life. I would be ecstatic to go swear at a king to prove a point.
I, uh, don't think that translated. Unless that's an expression for, like "you're chicken"?

Baiting people with intellectual disabilities into getting themselves killed isnât an okay thing to do no matter how awful they are.
@coloursofthenight, donât do this.
Entertaining your premise for a moment, you're clearly doing the same thing you're shaming.
