" I don’t want an iPhone, but dammit, I want the effortlessness of the iPhone’s camera."
This. THIS!
I love my Android Phone. I love the OS. I love the customization. I LOOOOVE the Material Design that Google's implemented. I DO NOT love the camera. I hate it. I hate that I have to describe it as "not that bad". Or justify it's use because it's already looks like I've applied an Instagram filter, so, ya know, one last step.
I'm right there with the author of this post. My next phone very easily could be an iPhone. I don't love the OS (the home screen drives me bonkers) but at least I could have a little pride over the pictures I take with it. I borrowed a colleagues iPhone 6 to shoot a picture the other day - hated how smooth it was.
I finished my family photo-book for 2014 and this year I made two pages in the back for pictures taken from my wife and I's cell phones. I made it a mosaic so the pictures were small in order to hide how crappy they are. Maybe next year it'll be different.
Thrift Store Find. I'll need to clean it up. It needs a new battery. But at the end of the day may be a fun new hobby. # photography #thrift #hobby
Never have I spent so much time on a flow chart - amazing. I particularly love the over 50 options.

There's no doubt that the rise of things like vinyl and board games are in direct response to the hyper-digitization of our current culture. We crave something real, and while the experience of the digital is real the lack of touch leave the heart needing more.

This is how NOT to sell a smartphone. I went into TMobile today while I was in the mall, just to poke around, and while I was at first excited to see a Nexus 6 in person, I was just as quickly amazed by the contraption used to secured the phone. This is an issue for multiple reasons...
I feel accused of theft just by touching it. Is this the atmosphere you want to promote in your store?
How am I going to get a sense of how a device feels when it’s attached to something 4x it’s weight.
I imagine the person who designed this device worked damn hard to make it so thin, and this is how you display their efforts.
I asked the rep if they had one loose to look at. He scoffed as if he was offended by the suggestion.
Boo, Tmobile, Boo...
Sushi Go - Flash Review: Picked this up as an impulse buy while visiting my old FLGS (Modern Myths in Mamaronek, NY - so good!). Christie and I played a quick round. Very quick to learn (even though the directions could have been a bit more clear). The art is fun and silly, but clever. Best part of the game is that it really borrows a good amount of it’s mechanics from Magic: The Gathering Drafting - something I’d never convince Christie to play/do. Good way to bring that sort of dynamic home or to a party. $15 - easily worth it. (And I’m a sucker for a game in a tin - who doesn’t love tins!?).
I've seen a great number of "Best Comics of 2014" lists, but as I've read most of what's on this list - I feel like the cool nerd.
I mean, sure, the one this summer was a “crime”...

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens Poster - Created by disgorgeapocalypse
If you ditched Android today and got a shiny new iPhone you can bet you'd miss plenty. Here are the little (and big) things you'd miss about Android if it was gone.
I seriously thought about switching when the shiny new 6 came out - even went as far to find a cheep iPhone 5C to test to see if I COULD go back to iOS. Short answer - nope. This link is the long answer. I don't think an iPhone user is necessarily better off switching to Android, but once you go back...it's a Plato's cave sort of thing.
