These are my other Freak Circus OCs. Yao, the red-haired one, is basically Pierrette's monster version, and the other three are Amimitl (the one with happy eyes), Chaac (the one with bored eyes), and Leif (the one with sharp eyes). These four are NOT part of the circus ๐ช; they have their own independent business, a water show, which they do as a hobby. Thanks to Yao, they don't have to do it for anything other than fun and enjoyment, since they don't have problems getting food or any other serious issues.
As you can see, Yao has known Jester for a very long time, since before the circus (although I drew him in his old design because I couldn't think of anything else), when his parents died and he was left alone. In my AU, she was the one who, in a way, influenced how Jester became who he is today and the decisions he made to survive. Well, when she found him, it was at a very vulnerable moment, and feeling bad for him (besides not liking how she found him), she gave him advice and took care of him for a little while... in a somewhat rough way XD.
From that moment on, they never saw or heard from each other again, since Yao was a traveler (with many problems) and traveled to various parts of the world shortly after. It wasn't until much later that she learned about the circus ๐ช, which had been run by Jester and the others for some time. He didn't recognize her because of the passage of time and the changes Yao had undergone, unlike her, who did remember him. She didn't seem to mind that he had forgotten her, but she used that opportunity to become "acquainted" with him and observe what he had become... later, that curiosity and amusement turned into attraction ๐.
โข Yao is a half-breed of ancient races. Her father was the same type of monster as Pierrot, only slightly different, and her mother was of another, nearly extinct, type.
โข Chaac, Amimitl, and Leif are shorter than average monsters, about the same size as a human. Their height hasn't changed in years, though they may still grow since they are very young and presumably still developing.
โข Yao left eye is not very good; she is almost blind in it due to one of the many times they have tried to hunt her down and kill her.
โข Ticket Taker likes the triplets, but he hates Yao. He can't stand her, since Yao teases him because he doesn't like him much either.
โข Speaking for the three children, they are artistsโwell, they call themselves artists since they are very knowledgeable in various art forms, such as painting, music, dance, etc. In fact, they taught Yao to play various instruments and about music.
โขThe relationship the four have could be described as "familial," BUT, at the same time, not quite that, because she's more like a "grandmother" or teacher. The three of them see her as someone superior and older who is guiding them, since she is very, very old. Meanwhile, Yao basically sees them as something to take care of, even though they aren't hers; they're like her grandchildren, to be precise.
โขWhile Leif and Chaac see humans as a means to an end, like food (they don't hate them, they just don't care about most of them), Yao and Amimitl genuinely like them. In her case, it's because she sees them as pets and somewhat endearing beings, since they used to adore her, and in Amimitl's case, it's because of his childhood.
โข Harlequin and the triplets fight a lot, almost always because he provokes them by teasing them when he sees them... making all three of them snap at him at the same time, even though they never win.
โข For Doctor, Pierrot, and Harlequin, Yao is like a cool grandma who their dad (Ticket Taker) doesn't like, but she's close to their mom (Jester).
โข Like Pierrette (my MC in her human version), she has a huge fondness for colorful things, but the reason for this in Yao is melancholic.
โข Leif, Amimitl, and Chaac are from high society; they're very picky, even about food.
โขThe triplets are Norwegian ๐ณ๐ด and are inspired by narwhals, different types of unicorns, horses, mermaids ๐งโโ๏ธ, kelpies, and whales ๐ณ.
โขBesides being inspired by the goddess Cihuacoatl, Yao also has influences from dragons, jaguars/panthers, and owls. Of course, this is evident in her monster form.
โขYao has raised human children and "helped" pregnant women without support or with other kinds of problems for many years to create a "family."
