Before they even meet he knows Rozanov’s height, weight, and all his career stats. After Saskatchewan he Googles Rozanov’s birthday and his shoe size and can recognize his preferred brand of cigarettes. Then they start hooking up and he learns the type of shampoo Rozanov uses, how he likes to be touched, how he sounds before he comes. And once they’re at cottage he discovers what Ilya looks like when he first wakes up, how he takes his coffee, how his eyes shine when he says I love you.
