I feel like EAH is a great example of how people deny the sexuality of characters. Just because it isn't stated straight up that Apple and Darling are queer doesn't mean they aren't.. I see people saying that it was "just cpr" when Apple can only be awakened with a true love's kiss.. which it was. The creators even said that Darling and Apple are soulmates but they couldn't exactly put it straight up. It was obvious but people deny it because they don't want to believe that the characters they like are queer. You can say you're not homophobic but saying a canonically queer character isn't queer is quite homophobic💔
