i mostly am on tumblr to waste time & cry about bellarke, but i’ve been on this site in one way or another for seven years.....SEVEN. since my little college self found out about it because i wanted to be healthier & discovered fitblrs. then i discovered so many ships and shows and ideas. it has been wonderful. and there were bad times. but right now, my beautiful boyfriend is cooking me dinner and i’m hanging out in my house i bought & i work from home in a job i enjoy & i legit am an actress & my life is good, man. and im super thankful to jesus for giving me this. wow. i cry.

another voice, angelic and righteous, overpowers his but, my God, i’m so lonesome. no other stands on the side that is white. only the one who is trudging through the night.

i’ve dealt with myself for far too long. i want this now. i deserve this, i shout. so i walk away prideful into that abyss. months later, i emerge a sorrowful mess.

i wrote this after a nasty split in 2015. it sucked & made me revaulate my entire exsistence. but it was glorious for the fire the burned within me and the way it moved my mind. it ignited creativity, and i came out a better person. beautiful.

Honestly the best piece of advice I can give to younger girls trying to figure life out is to completely ignore men. I’m not being quirky or cute when I say that, I mean it seriously. Ignore men’s judgments of you, ignore their insincere compliments, ignore their half-assed romance. Focus on developing yourself. Practice your art, play sports, do theater, volunteer, spend time with your friends, but do not put substantial effort into pleasing men. They’ll be there for you to pursue when the time comes and if you want to. But nothing will waste your youth more than fighting for male acceptance.

I don’t know the amount of times I have sat in history class and wondered how someone like Hitler could have ever gotten far enough in government to have that kind of power, but now I’m watching it happen live in the U.S and I’m terrified.

I live in Alabama. I know maybe three people I can talk to about how much I loathe Trump. My Facebook feed is filled with how Trump will make everything great, and mothers are posting updates about their sons calling Hillary a bitch and laughing about it.

I realize the entire world is terrified but I’m in Trump-fan central, and I’m sick to my stomach. I wish people in other places could be here with me all the time. I have to shut my mouth or make a joke when someone asks me about my political views because if you say anything other than conservative, you are viewed as a dirty liberal and you get yelled at for 15 minutes on why you like killing babies. It’s ridiculous here. Pray for people in Alabama who aren’t brainwashed Republicans. We feel the same way the rest of the world feels.
