THANKS SM FOR 90K ON TT AND 12K HERE ON TUMBLR!! This community has given me so so much. To give back a little, I wanted to showcase all of the wonderful talent shared during my dtiys. All of these artists are immensely talented and if you see art that you like, I would highly recommend finding the artist and letting them know! The biggest part of why I love this community is the friends I've made here and spreading gratitude is a great way to start friendships
I wanted to take a break from drawing artfight attacks, just to get inspired again so I randomly drawed me and my boyfriend as wade and ember from elemental 😅
I honestly really like it cause their relationship is so much like ours 🥲

Trigger warning: Blood, madness, manipulation, topics of death.
You're falling…
Falling from one of the tallest buildings in New York. All alone, exhausted, bleeding and heartbroken. You're about to die. But you're probably wondering how you got into this situation, huh? Let me explain...
You live in New York, you've been living here for a year now. Ever since you got that apprenticeship offer at TCRI and moved out of your parents house. It's been pretty lonely, but a month ago you got with one of the head scientists, Dr Baxter Stockman after he asked you out to dinner. Dr Stockman was very sweet to you and you felt a lot more comfortable here now that you have him. That's how it was…at first, recently he's been asking a lot of odd favors and spending less and less time with you. But you don't mind, you still love him all the same, everyone needs space every now and again, right?
Eventually he starts ignoring you completely, like he's hyperfixated on his work, and only his work. He never seems to go home since the front desk says he hasn't clocked out for days. After a week of Dr Stockman being locked in his lab you decide that you need to confront him tonight, you don't mind him doing work on a project, but now it's starting to get unhealthy.
You approach his lab, despite it being made of clear glass you can't see inside at all, all the blinds are down and there's a rag draped over the door. You walk up to it and knock.
"Dr Stockman? Baxter? It's me Y/N." No answer. You wait a bit in case he responds but no, all you get in reply is silence. But you're fed up, you're not letting the man you love waste away in a dark dingy laboratory over some project! "Baxter, I'm coming in!" you struggle a bit as there's something blocking the door but you force it open enough for you to squeeze through. It's almost pitch black in there, the only light source are some strange blue flashes coming from a stairway across the room. You look around and see there are tools and schematics scattered all over the floor and there's a smell that could kill an elephant lingering through the air, but no Baxter Stockman. You decide to investigate the flashing light. The stairs it was coming from lead to the roof of the building, could Baxter be up there?
You start ascending the staircase. As you get to the top and walk through the open door the mysterious light flashes again, but you underestimated how bright it actually was. As you blink your eyes back into focus you spot Baxter Stockman on the other side of the roof, he's tinkering with a sci-fi looking machine, like something straight out of a movie. You make your way over to him shielding your eyes as the machine flashes violently. As you get closer you start to hear Stockman madly ranting to himself. You can only hear bits and pieces over the sound of the machine but he’s rambling on about the human race needing ‘fixed’, which can't be good. You call out to him trying to combat the machine's deafening noise, “Baxter! What are you doing? What is that thing?”
Baxter stops, he straightens his back and turns around to face you. He looks…tired and frustrated, nothing like the man you love, almost like he’s a shell of who he was. His face scowls at the sight of you but he quickly shifts it into a grin, “Hello my love! I was just finishing my project." He sounds sincere but something about his smile gives you an uneasy feeling. You reply “oh really? That's…wonderful.” you have no idea what that machine does but it looks sketchy and honestly all you want to do right now is go home. “Come over here! I want to show you how it works.” something seems…wrong, but you decide to trust him. You walk up to the machine and stand next to him, he starts to explain what each part does but you can hardly hear him over the whirring and humming of the mechanics. After a few minutes you find yourself zoning out as you stare at the machine, its horrible noise getting louder and louder drowning out everything. Until the noise just…stops, you manage to snap out of your trance and tune back into Baxter's explanation “and that's the stabilizer, it helps make it a lot quieter as you can probably tell.”
Okay, you've had enough of this machine, you're tired and you want to go home, it's time to grab Baxter and go. You open your mouth to ask Baxter about maybe taking a break but he starts talking again before you can even get a word out. “But the hardest thing about this is the power source, I could only get my hands on so much but now that you're here!” he looks up from the machine and stares at you with his still, very creepy smile. “Obtaining more will be easy as pi!” As he giggles away to himself you wonder what he's talking about, what could you possibly have that powers crazy tech like this? “So, what does it run on?” He stops laughing, his grin is gone and his face is completely dead-pan, the light from the machine hits his glasses in a way where you can't see his eyes and then…
Pain. A wave of pain shoots through your hand. You sharply inhale, Baxter had grabbed your wrist and sliced your palm. You try your best to hold back your tears, it hurts, a lot. Baxter's horrid grin returns as blood runs down your arm, as a reply to your question he simply says “Human blood”. You’re horrified, why was he doing this? And what kind of sick machine is this? Before you could rationalise any of this Baxter yanks your wrist and places your hand on the machine. The blood from your cut seeps into the cracks of Baxter's invention and it starts to run faster, it does run on blood. You pull your arm out of Baxter’s grasp and take several steps back from him and the machine. What is he doing? You're so confused and hurt ,physically and emotionally. Baxter turns to you and pulls out a tablet “Now I’m so sorry my dear, but I no longer need you. And I can't have you ratting out my ‘not so legal’ plans so, this is where we part ways”.
You watch him type on the tablet and within seconds two 7ft robots appear from the roof exit. They were so quick you barely heard them. Before you can even think about trying to run away the robots grab you by your arms and legs and lift you up. You struggle to try and escape but the robots barely budge, you are terrified, your heart pounds as you frantically try to find a way out of this mess. “W-what about us? What about what we have? I-I thought you loved me.” He starts to laugh, a horrible, mocking laugh. “Wow! Did I really fool you that easily? Y/N I never loved you, my heart belongs to science and science alone.” he taps on his tablet again and one of the robots lets go of your right arm and leg, the other robot lets go of your other leg but it tightens its grip on your arm, the one that's bleeding. You grab the robot's metal arm with your now free hand and try to pry yourself free, then, the robot starts heading to the edge of the roof, you try again to free your other hand until you look down and see that you're now dangling 500ft above the ground. You instantly panic trying to hold on to the robot “No no no no, Baxter! Baxter you wouldn't drop me…Please don't drop me!” Baxter walks up to the roof's edge, he stretches his hand out to you and you grab it without a second thought, desperate to get back to safety…
But he doesn't pull you up, instead he smirks “I’m sorry Y/N but, I’m dumping you” The robot lets go of your arm and Baxter lets go of your hand. Time slows down for a second as you fall, you look at him, heartbroken as you realise…he actually dropped you…
