I wish we got a Sam and Cas team-up episode where Dean is like out with Mary or at a gig or getting replacement parts for the Impala or something, and the inciting incident is that Sam and Cas do some ritual that winds up having Catastrophic Results and they have to desperately fix whatever it is before Dean gets back

They release some primordial evil into the bunker and they spend hours holing up in storage rooms desperately researching, narrowly avoiding death, before finally defeating the MOTW. They then of course have to clean up the trail of destruction, which they just barely do in time for Dean’s return

So Dean gets back, sees Sam and Cas looking like they were just in an active war-zone despite the suspiciously clean bunker, and is like ‘you two been up to much?’ And Sam and Cas (pushing a chair in front of the bullet holes in the wall) are like ‘noooooo nothing absolutely nothing has happened just some spring cleaning do you want a beer? How about you come into the kitchen and have a beer’

We then cut to hallway with a collapsed wall which Sam and Cas are both hastily steering Dean away from so he doesn’t notice

If anyone wants to write this they can, maybe I’ll write it some day, who knows
