My Random Vertical Drama Bullshit

Just finished Obsessed With Being His Prey from @goodshortdrama. Going into this vertical I was already give@ the impression that this was what my friends deemed a “Twilight Boy love” they were quite correct in that assessment. The vampire sparkled! Come on guys! Additionally there were around 50 red flags waving around everywhere; from the pedophile as a teacher to the abusive aunt who murdered his parents. Not to mention the grooming element of Oliver waiting until Elias was of age before becoming his lover. Honestly the bullies and drugs surrounding Elias were the least of his problems. And Oliver’s ex… very true blood style. I can almost forgive her for trying to kill Elias. She is a vampire after all. If it weren’t for all the cringe worthy red flags this would be an adorable little story. Can we not shave a BL drama that is this unproblematic? 2/10

The Lost Heiress of Kingston High… I’ve got a few notes. Some good… Some bad… 1. Does no one ever check security footage? 2. Stop bullying people who are in a wheel chair! That girl should have gotten expelled immediately for attacking a member of staff. 3. Medical malpractice! No doctor should be bribed to switch DNA results. Just because someone threatens your job should not warrant such egregious behavior. 4. Can we get a queer couple that is not so problematic? Seriously? We have a hard enough time getting representation without the couple being so manipulative. 5. Just because they believed she wasn’t their sister, that does not give them the right to bully her. Good on the one brother for still standing up for her. 6. This was a story I’ve seen a couple times but it has not been overdone quite yet. 7. I loved the art teacher who took the girl under her wing and took her to Paris. But how was she able to adopt the girl so fast? 8. The boyfriend was adorable! I love how supportive he was and how he helped her expose the truth. Hated his family and how they only cared about how much money she had. 9. Love her adoptive mother. She did not have a lot but she was always in her corner. I p. The principal should have lost her job. She cared more about the money coming into the school than the warfare of the students. Overall I’d give this vertical a 3/10 . Do better Reelshorts

Blood and Bones of the Disowned Daughter was chilling and gut renching. Rosa Singerman was cold and distant perfectly embodied in how PTSD can destroy a person. Faith Orta was pure evil manipulating the Parsons family around her fingers. Ben Ubiñas was sweet and caring in a way I never suspected. 9/10

As soon as I was informed Straight Until He Kissed Me was available I ran over to the GoodShort drama app to watch Evan Gambardella and Greg Duffy in this hilarious story. It was quirky, heart warming, and fascinating. I was drawn in from the very first kiss and enjoyed watching Miles and Hunter grow closer through every blunder. I loved the central message of gender should not prevent you from falling in love. I was not sure how I would feel about another Bl vertical where the main protagonist was insistent that he wasn’t gay, but Evan really had me hooked from the moment he entered the story. Greg is a new comer to the Bl vertical universe and he did not disappoint. His character made me want to pull my hair out at times but he genuinely had a deep love for Miles. My only complaint was Kate. I just don’t understand why we need an evil female character to make a worth whole Bl drama. 10/10

I’m really excited about these three verticals coming in September.
