It's not just because Brennan wanted to have an excellent RP session with Matt. There's more.
Through Maya Davinos, we receive a very important clue about the paint, the coffin, the Stone: Life is the only way to Triumph over Death
Now, she was talking about mortal babies between spouses. But you know who else was thinking about that? Thjazi Fang
The letter reads: turning "swords into ploughshares", so let's break that down.
Swords are an instrument of death, ploughshares are an instrument of life. We know that Thjazi took a bunch of old, defunct Death artifacts (the Coffin of Olbalad, Gavzidra Blood, the Stone of Nightsong). We confirmed through the processed paint that what was once blood has now become a tool for creation. Moreover, the magic vibes equate to the photonegative of the Stone of Nightsong.
What is the photonegative to an instrument of death? An instrument of life.
Thjazi Fang was running a Pasitar-wide prop hunt for the explicit purposes of reshaping signifiers of death from both sides (Shaper Psychopomps of Death PLUS the Murder Weapon that Killed the Shapers), and turning these signifiers of life instead.
Brennan used Maya Davinos as yet another piece to this broad thematic puzzle. Life and Belief and Creation and Manufactured Truth that turn Illusion into Reality. It's all connected. It's all part of Brennan's thesis for this campaign.
And of course, he's going to center it on a play in a theater.
Thjazi was going to co-opt that recipe for the Sepulchral Lord. We know the "8 champions" are vulnerable to the Guardians of the Mist (a.k.a the Death Psychopomps - remember when we first learned of Olbalad as the Sister of Mists). So Thjazi made Photonegative Guardian of Mists to make the Photonegative of a Selpulchral Lord
And here's yet another hint as to what that may be. What is the opposite to a Sea of Death? The Waters of the Womb.
I think Thjazi Fang is about to create some kind of cosmological midwife to deliver the arcane potential of araman.

I had the incredible privilege to design this year’s Pride Shirt from Critical Role! It features our beloved Blue Boi Dorian Storm on hos steed Coriolis. I snuck in a little favour of his lover, tied to his arm, and some sneaky Latin: “Amore fiunt homines” is Latin for “It’s love that makes people.”
You can find it in all the CR shops! I’ll be offering prints, too.

I’ve seen a lot of theories that the paint is celestial blood/filament, and a lot of the reasoning behind that seems to be because of the assertion that murray said it’s ’the same as the stone of nightsong,’ so there’s an assumption that celestial bone = celestial blood in terms of magical vibes.
here’s my two cents. number one, I don’t know why the letter would have mentioned “the blood must be protected” if it’s literally the same shit the creed is flinging around everywhere. number two, it seems really strange to have introduced this blood font in tannesar that thjazi and mara did something to if it’s not connected to something else. and number three, most importantly: the thing about the blood being ‘the same’ as the stone of nightsong is not direct information we got. this is marisha’s interpretation of whatever whispers she got from that roll. we have no idea what brennan actually said or what it meant, and there is every possibility that she drew an incorrect conclusion from it.
could the paint still be laced with celestial blood/filament? sure. could it also be laced with the blood from the azgra blood pool, and it resonates with the stone of nightsong because they are both profaned artifacts, or both relics of the shapers, or any other level of magical similarity? also yes. we simply won’t know until confirmed.

I really enjoyed the All Crew Fireside Chat, and would strongly encourage everyone to give it a watch. Not only for the cool behind the scenes details, but for the reality check of how many people and how many hours it takes to produce things fans on the internet will often conceive of as effortless or “well, just stick a camera in front of them and hit record, what’s so hard there?”
I think everyone should hear Marisha talking about frame rates when designing the set and Max explaining that a 45 second shirt bit in an ad took him 2 weeks of work and Ashly discussing how the cast couldn’t hear each other for the first 15 minutes of the London live show. For fandom enrichment.
Just because what you wanted didn't happen, doesn't mean it's queerbaiting. It is now being used an excuse when the ship you want didn't get together. Queerbaiting has to do with marketing.
Queerbait: A cookbook that you learned about from ads with pictures of people eating tasty looking soups and the author's social media posts about how soup lovers are going to love it, proves to have no soup recipes.
Not queerbait: A cookbook has no soup recipes. You assumed there would be some based on vibes and wishful thinking. No soups were ever advertised or promised.
Also not queerbait: A cookbook that was advertised as containing soup recipes has soup recipes but not for the types of soups you like.
Queerbait: The cookbook repeatedly mentions soups and how this or that sandwich would be great with soup ("wouldn't it be funny if we put a soup recipe here," it says, though it never does), and perhaps even having recipes for gravy, hot chocolate, and pasta sauce with photos of each thing in big bowls with a spoon in them so they appear to be soups at first glance (but of course anyone who says that they expected a soup recipe is a moron, and the cookbook spends a whole chapter making fun of people who like soup).
Not queerbait: The cookbook is published in a country where soup is illegal or highly stigmatized. For some reason the recipe for "mashed potatoes" calls for leeks and comes out way thinner than you'd expect mashed potatoes to be, and the "tomato pasta sauce" recipe makes way more than you'd need to top a couple of servings of spaghetti, but there's definitely no soup in here, nope nope nope.
also not queerbait: the recipes do not call themselves soups, but many of them are soup-adjacent. there are recipes from different places or times that don't call themselves soups but that we might classify as soups. the book does not advertise itself as being a book of soups, but the authors don't insist there are no soups at all inside, and most people can recognize that there are probably some soups in it.
