I went 2015 for the first time. It wasn't perfect, some people were really unlucky, mostly due to weather conditions (same old same old). I was not, I had the best time of my life and it's a big part of why I am where I am now. I'm insanely grateful. It was in Mendig for the first time, however. Yeah, it's not as iconic at the Ring, it had its issues, but there was way more space. Nothing was crowded. It was grand.

I went 2024 for the last time. It was my first time at the Ring (insane when you think about it) and in the meantime, the organiser had changed. Marek Lieberberg has never been an angel, but now it's literally Eventim. It's literally the devil. So what do you expect.

I was shocked at how CROWDED the Ring was in 2024. Waaayyyyy too many people. Nowhere to sit or stay or be a person. Again, we did have fun and we were lucky. Our camp was great, there were enough toilets and showers.

The things I'm hearing now though? They sound like a bad fever dream. At some point they were moments away from a catastrophe. It's not only fans saying that, it's professional firemen. Less toilets and showers too. I can't even imagine. And Rock am Ring acts like nothing happened.

In this country, people have to die first for someone to look into it. And still, they sell their tickets. Not a minute in and the first three price categories were sold out already. People keep complaining, though. When will they realise that you're only hurting them by not buying? They write their silly little complain E-Mails that no one will even read.

Once, someone mentioned a class action lawsuit and suddenly they replied. It makes me so fucking mad. They should sue them. They have to guarantee certain standards.

They're one of the reasons why one of the best German festivals had to close its gates forever. They didn't want to be part of this rat race. It wasn't feasible for them any longer, since RAR hoarded bands etc. Their greed will destroy our music culture, and yeah, I'm also side-eyeing certain bands that hype them up, no questions asked.
