The last museum I visited in Antwerp was a #jobrelated #MuseumOfPrinting . This is a 500 year old #PlantinMoretusMuseum , one of the first #PrintShops in Europe and living quarters of the celebrated printer dynasty. They were rich and on the cutting edge of printing business back in those days. #PeterPaulRubens painted a portrait of just about every member of that dynasty for as long as he was alive. Took a tram ride 🚋 to relative outskirts of #Antwerp to visit an iconic #DeKoninckBrewery and its museum. You get a beer to start a tour and you pour yourself another one midway through it. There's even a simulated ride in a #BeerEmergencyMobil🚑 There's a sizeable cheese production facility onsite. Visited a #DiamondsMuseum in a city that "processes" 80% of world diamonds. While the collection is rather unimpressive, the museum itself is highly interactive. Audioguide is filled with interesting tales and trivia. Displays let you see the difference between real diamonds and synthetic ones. Bought myself a #48hoursCityCard #AtypicalAntwerp and immediately went to #DeKathedraal . Besides the famous #PeterPaulRubens masterpieces on display there, there's also a bar ... inside the church! 🤟🏼 And, like all the other Belgian reputable watering holes🚱🍺, they have their own brand of beer. #DoubleWin .
