For any of my followers who have an abusive parent(s), don’t be like me. As scary as it is, it’s better to run as soon as you can to a safer place, than to deal with their abuse well into your adulthood.
I wish I had the courage to run. I want anyone dealing with an abuser to get the hell out of there as quickly as possible, please. I’m approaching the later half of my 20s and I’m still chained to my mother, absolutely broken from the narcissism. I wasted my youth with a self-serving narcissist. Please, seek out help. A friend, a relative, someone at school or work, and get out as soon as you can. It’s worth it. Take it from someone who regrets every single day that she didn’t do the same the second she turned 18.
