“Yeah yeah yeah,” she replied, mimicking his eye roll. “Worst case, someone probably would’ve had to bail me out of jail.”

Collin laughed standing up straight “Ava Lamont I will gladly bail you out of jail, if need be.” He said with a huge smile on his face.

“─so what’s a girl gotta do to get someone to offer to show her around here?”

“Well I’ve only been here two months, and I’m still trying to figure things out. If you want to figure things out with me, you are welcome to tag along. If you like chicken wings and beer there is a really good dive bar next door to the tattoo shop I run.”

“Yeah well she deserved it. She’s lucky I didn’t feel like getting kicked out of a bar” she said. She rolled her eyes as he poked her but couldn’t help but smile.

“I’m sure she did, but I’m still proud of you” he laughed rolling his eyes at the girl. “Yeah, what would we do then?” He asked looking at the girl with an eyebrow raised.

“She thought I was trying to hit on her boyfriend so she got in my face,” Ava explained shaking her head.

“Ava Lamont, I’m proud of you for not hitting her.” Collin smiled at the girl, poking her side gently.

“Sounds like you need to invest in a few more tvs.”

“Nah usually I watch football games, and hockey games at a sports bar.”

“I need football back in the worst way. Coming up with content for a sports podcast with just baseball going on is so rough.”

“I mean you could use golf, and shit like that. Also soccer is going on both MLS and NWSL. Which is pretty exciting, women’s soccer is pretty damn exciting.”

“Who are your teams?”

“For baseball I’m a diehard Dodgers fan, for football I’m a 49ers fan, and for hockey I’m an LA Kings fan. What about you?”

“Look I’m not saying I actually punched this woman, I’m just saying that I wanted to. She was bat shit crazy so she should consider herself lucky.”

“What did she do to piss you off so much?” Collin asked raising his eyebrow, at the girl in front of him.

“I think it might have been UP, maybe it was Cars. It was one of those two for sure though.”

“I knew having a newborn baby would mean no sleep, but I wasn’t aware just how much no sleep entitled.”
