Think about it: not every Jedi was equipped for the front lines. Some were simply too young. Some were too old. Some were just not cut out for it. Some were NEEDED at the Temple to keep it running.

The Jedi in the Temple slowly coming to learn that the Coruscant Guard are more than just meat droids.

The younger kids sneaking out together, knowing that if they get in trouble that can run to the nearest Corrie and they’ll get them back to the Temple safely without telling anyone.

A Knight who works in the Temple’s gardens bringing fresh produce for the Guardsmen who accompanied them on their way to the spaceport that one time.

An older Master sneaking a few of the Guardsmen into the Temple library so they can read up on their favourite subjects, because the clones remind them so much of their past padawans.

One of the Temple’s healers commiserating with the clone medics about how both of their sets of patients refuse to behave.

The Jedi sharing resources with the Corries when they have a shortage, the Jedi hanging out with Guardsmen whenever they have to go down to the lower levels. The Jedi chatting with the clones stationed to protect the Temple.

Obviously coming right off Kamino they’re going to be all prim and proper and well-trained and well-managed and suppressed, but that cannot have lasted long.

I imagine their barracks very quickly dissolved into chaos once they came to the realisation that Jedi really don’t care if you let loose a little, so long as you get the job done.

You walk into a clone barracks and are immediately hit with the smell of Sweaty Man. The ventilation hasn’t been on in two weeks because some genius decided to hide a bag of glitter somewhere in the system. Six grown men are having a pillow fight across the top bunks. Some guy is trying to tattoo himself in the only fresher while his squadmate is banging desperately on the door because he smuggled some spicy exotic delicacy onto the ship and it is NOT agreeing with him. There’s a very intense sabbacc game happening in the corner and the prize is a single bottle of moonshine that one of the troopers on a station they just visited brews in an old torpedo casing. One of the ceiling panels is quirked in such a way that you just KNOW there’s something stashed up there, and you don’t even want to find out what.

my mom is in fact aware that dandelions exist. she temporarily forgot the name and there was some miscommunication.

she does not believe these are the same plant. I tried to explain, and she thought I was either misinformed or lying. so I asked her what exactly did she think the yellow ones were called?

✧ Being poor is expensive. You can't buy in bulk to save money. You pay fees for not having enough in your account. You buy cheap shoes that wear out fast instead of good ones that last.

✧ The math is constant. Every purchase is a calculation. Can I afford this? What can I skip? Is this worth it? Your character's always doing mental accounting.

✧ You get creative. Meals from whatever's left in the pantry. Fixing things with duct tape and hope. Making do because you have to.

✧ Shame is real. Your character might lie about why they can't go out. Make excuses. Hide their situation because poverty is treated like a moral failure.

✧ Small luxuries feel huge. A coffee from an actual coffee shop instead of gas station. Buying name-brand something. These aren't nothing, they're big deals.

✧ You're always tired. Working multiple jobs, irregular hours, the stress of never having enough, it's exhausting. Your character's running on empty.

✧ Future planning is hard. When you're worried about making rent, thinking about retirement or savings feels impossible. You're in survival mode.

✧ Other people don't get it. Friends who casually suggest expensive activities. People who think you're bad with money when really there's just not enough of it.

✧ The system works against you. Need an ID to get a job but need money to get an ID. Need an address to get assistance but you're homeless. Catch-22s everywhere.

literal first paragraph of the wikipedia article for learned helplessness. this is a depression symptom. it is frequently caused by lifelong abuse from controlling authority figures. it is the exact OPPOSITE of an abuse tactic and would most likely be displayed by the WOMEN in that kind of scenario!!
