So I've been sitting on this for a while and finally decided it was time I do this post since I've already done some "how would your OC" stuff with her but haven't made an actual post dedicated to her. So here is my OC/warrior of light this will also include some bits and pieces about her two partners. ( I might make a post for her partners as well later but it's not guaranteed that they will get their own posts). I'm still working out her whole background/backstory so this will be more like a facts/bits of info page about her instead of focusing on her lore
Her name is clover she's a miqo'te with white hair/fur that has some pink hilights (there a bit difficult to see in certain lighting) she mainly likes to express herself through the clothes she wears (There have been a few times where she wore clothes meant for a winter climate in a summer climate and the reverse). She is a dragoon and weaver but she will occasionally try out other things but will most often go back to what she knows how to do and feels comfortable doing. She has two wives (Yes she lesbian) who occasionally have to deal with some very chaotic energy every now and then (or if she's really pissed off holding her back from beating the ever living shit out of whoever pissed her off). And even though sometimes her energy can be seen as really annoying to others her wives are more than okay to put up with something crazy going on every now and then If it meant they could spend the rest of their days together. One of her partners is a scholar (and an armorsmith in her free/down time) and sometimes her partners carbuncle will decide to tag along with clover (or her other partner) to see what she's up to. If clover isn't out fighting or off doing a crafting run/delivery she's most likely either back home getting ready for an upcoming adventure or working on her latest weaving projects. If she's not home instead she'll mainly be wandering around either gathering/buying supplies or looking around for inspirations for what she might try to craft next and no matter how far away she might be she will always come running to help if someone she cares for is in need of aid or is in danger. She does try her best to keep her anger and composure especially when she's around folks that she doesn't want to leave a bad impression with but there are times where she will toss that out the window and basically go "All right who Am I beating up first" Thankfully it takes a very specific set of conditions to get her that pissed off so most of the time she's able to keep it under control.
So yeah that's some info about my OC I hope you like it I'm still not sure if I'm going to do any post about her two partners because I haven't really put as much thought into their personality and stuff as I have with hers. if I do I will probably link back to this one just to make it easier to like cross reference certain things. That might mention one of the other characters and goes more into depth on their post but again I'm not certain on that. But if nothing else I hope you enjoyed reading this. At face value, this is a ridiculous headline. But the article then says his managers berated and insulted him for leaving the party after an anxiety attack, and the company then fired him for taking days off work for “unsafe work practices,” due to having anxiety?
There’s so much more to it as well. He repeatedly asked the company not to throw a party for him due to his anxiety (apparently this is standard practise for their office and he knew it would be triggering for him) and they “forgot” about his request. On the day in question, he predictably had a panic attack and went to his car to do breathing exercises.
The next day he was called into a meeting where he was insulted and grilled about “ruining the party” and “stealing his co-workers’ joy”, which caused him to have another panic attack and start doing coping behaviours like hugging himself, at which point his employers decided he must be angry and was going to turn violent. They then suspended him for days and later told him he’d been fired.
So yeah, it’s not over an “unwanted birthday party”, it’s over employers repeatedly failing to accommodate someone’s disability, trying to frame them as the villain for having accessibility needs, and firing them for not conforming to some stupid office politics.
I am completely pro-lawsuit. Lawsuits are often the only tool that otherwise powerless individuals have to demand some accountability from large corporations and institutions, and historically lawsuits have been a very important tool for civil rights, women’s rights, LGBT+ rights, and disability rights. But this is exactly why the media is always depicting lawsuits as something frivolous and silly that only uptight spoiled crybabies who want easy money do, and people just eat up that propaganda without doing any research or critical thinking.

in may the question paper for NEET leaked. that's the national medical entrance exam. over 2.2 million students took it. cancelled. years of studying, families' savings poured into coaching, gone overnight because someone sold the paper. students died by suicide after. these were kids who wanted to be doctors.
and out of that came a protest movement. a gen z group called the cockroach janta party, started by a 30 year old named abhijeet dipke, got 22 million instagram followers within DAYS. they've been doing a sit-in at jantar mantar in delhi demanding education minister dharmendra pradhan resign.
and then there's sonam wangchuk. if you've watched 3 idiots, he's the real engineer the character was based on. built solar schools in ladakh. invented ice stupas so himalayan villages have water. spent his whole life on education. he's 59 and he's been on hunger strike for 17+ days now. reporters went to see him this week and he was too weak to talk. and the troll armies are calling him "anti national" and "foreign funded". a man starving himself for other people's children. that's the thing here, anyone who asks a question is suddenly a traitor.
it's not one incident, it's everywhere you look:
• infrastructure worth thousands of crores failing within months of the ribbon cutting. tunnels collapsing in regions where heavy rain is a guarantee, not a surprise.
• youth unemployment near 10% for ages 15 to 29, 13.6% in cities. in a country of 1.42 billion where more than half the population is young.
• only about the top 3% of indians earn above 10 lakh a year. meanwhile billionaire wealth keeps ballooning and the headlines celebrate it.
• manipur burned for over two years. an ethnic conflict, tens of thousands displaced, and the prime minister barely said the word manipur while it happened.

if you're not indian: share this. our media mostly won't cover any of it because the big outlets are owned by the same billionaires the government serves. the only reason wangchuk's fast is getting any coverage is people refusing to look away.
if you ARE indian: speak up even if you're comfortable. especially if you're comfortable. join the protests. add to this, correct me, translate it. staying quiet is a choice when nothing in this post touches your life.

so ‘recently’ when I played Dmc 5 I got to a level with a flashback showing Dante’s office.
now understand some peoples joke about his broke ass and
I found it to be really. . . Sad
Dante’s is Sad. . . And Depressed. . .
It’s not new to say this tons of people bring up Dante having depression but I feel like he’s always out shined by Vergil, I’ve seen far more people talk about Vergil and His trauma and the things He’s been through all wall Dante’s is over here being mostly ignored.

these are my interpretation on things I also may be wrong on some things, and a lot of opinions and speculation on some other stuff due
to this. So- Grain Of Salt~
Dante’s Guilt: this will come up throughout the post.
the 2007 anime is the best example of Dante’s depression.
It takes place after Dmc 1 which is honestly where it would have become significantly worse-
This was where he thought he lost his brother For Good by His Own hands, he thought he killed his brother who he didn’t even know he was fighting until it was to late and he was defeated.
and when he Was defeated he Felt it,
in Dmc 4’s novel Deadly fortune it’s mentioned how Dante felt a soul cry out to him and it says only demons who share the same blood could feel that. It was kinda like a ‘dying breath’ in a way.
You know how much that had to fucking Hurt for him to Feel!
Dante holds so much Guilt for his brother and for so many others.
for anyone he's every cared about he’s lost So many people
by this point in his life.
Dante probably had guilt thinking it was His fault Vergil died when they were kids. It was his actions that caused Vergil to run off leading to their separation and what he thought was Vergils death, and partially there Moms death because she could have hid if it wasn’t for needing to look for Vergil.
(technically if either Dante or Vergil did things differently in that moment it wouldn’t have ended the way it did. I’m not explaining this tho~)
and Dante had Years to think about this. Years to sit in that guilt and pain thinking it was His fault
(Even tho it wasn’t and he was just a kid, but The brain isn’t kind to itself now is it)
thinking He killed his family and then Killing his brother ‘for real’
that time.
Dante would also have guilt for Grue and Jesica’s deaths from the first Dmc novel, they were like family to him, Grue was his best friend and Jessica was like a sister to him. He loved them.
and it’s his fault their dead, killed and used by demons.

and ya know what else is from that novel- Nell’s Death.
Nell saw her son in Dante, if he needed food or anything she’d give him some and help him, she may have been a grouchy old lady but she cared about him and he cared about her to.
and what happened to her. . . She was also killed by a demon and she died in a fire as well. just Like Dante’s mom. . .
(note: she was killed Specifically by Gilver- retconned to be a Nelo prototype)
That simple and comfortable life he’d created for himself as
Tony Redgrave was gone.
He’d lost everyone close to him once Again.
and the few things he Does have to hold on to get ruined those people get hurt like Enzo Dante’s informant he’s been with for nearly his Whole career, he got hurt because Dante gave him a dangerous devil arm, and had to chop his arm off because of it.
this is event is partially why Trish left
(she wanted to protect people from the Devil arms. wall also seeing
And learning about the human world and other such things)
Dante feels an immense amount of Guilt over what happened to Enzo.
and feels like he owes him for what ‘he caused’
(it wasn’t his fault, and Enzo doesn’t inherently blame him I don’t think)
I’d say if Dante was on a job and people got killed when he could or couldn’t have done anything he’d feel the Guilt of their deaths to.
the 2007 anime is perfect in showing how depressed he is after All of this.
At the end of every episode he’s seen Drinking alcohol.
And He looks sad as Hell in the endings-
His place is a Mess if it wasn’t for Patty it’d be Filled with Trash.
he’s lazy and enjoys naps Sure but He’s also Depressed.
look at all the god damn empty Bottles in that place!
The pizza boxes beer cans and the general Trash’n mess.
Maybe those Naps are the only way he can get Sleep without being Haunted by Nightmares!
Nighmares of the night his Mom Died! Or when he Killed his Brother!
Or something Awful happening to people he Cares about or knows! Like Lady, Patty, Trish, and later Nero. heck even Enzo! And Morrison
Anyone he knows really
oh but he's the fun, goofy, wackywoohoo pizza man!
yeah! It’s a god damn cover up for his true feelings!
he messes with people to have fun he’s a goofy casual guy,
He has a sarcastic and jokey personality,
these Are his personality traits Yes but he Exaggerates it.
It’s a mask he can use to hide behind, not just from the people around him but from Himself to.
I think sometimes his personality could be a cover up because he doesn’t want to acknowledge the weight of everything he’s been through. This guy is just as broken as his brother
his personality is also there to try and entertain himself
(His fights with regular demons are boreing so he messes with them to make them more interesting for himself.)
look at him in the anime, look at how he Acts, he’s quite and an ass,
yes this is just how he acts but it feels Different. It’s sad.
when he jokes he sounds empty like there’s just nothing behind it.
just listen to him. . .
Dante lost everything Twice.
he lost his family. his twin brother, his mom to fire and demons
and Mother figure to a similar situation, he lost his closest friend.
he has nothing once again. He lost a comfortable life he’d managed to create for himself only to lose it all again.
what do people learn from stuff like that?
to not Get close to people. not to Try anymore because it’s only gonna end in Hurt.
You learn To push them away so They don’t get hurt because of you.
You push them away because you love them and so they don’t have to deal with yur shit. (But you don’t realize the hurt you Do put on Them for doing that as well)
less rant talk going forward-
Dante’s debts and not caring for a profit:
This brings up the people he does have specifically Lady and surprisingly Patty. ( Trish to I guess) and a Lot about his Debts~
despite how much he wants to Dante Can’t push them All away, and if he does it’s only temporary. (And Thats for later)
he has debts that need to be paid, but he can’t pay them.
his debt with Lady is specifically interesting-
she holds that shit over him Every single time shes with him and she constantly adds more to it. Why?
so that she has a Reason to come back, to check on him. Because god forbid we admit we care about each other.
she uses it as an excuse, she Knows she’s not getting that money back. Maybe she wanted him to pay her back initially/early on but at some point she realized it’s never gonna happen and started using it as her excuse to visit, to make sure he’s ok and that everything is still standing and running.

Dante can actually make plenty of money for himself,
but he feels all of the guilt from being part demon and ‘doesn’t need it’
So He basically gives the money he earns away.
On some jobs Dante ends up paying for the property damage and such. (Either coming out of his pay or On occasions adding to his debt owed to Lady)
I don’t think Dante is obligated to pay for the damages he wants to. maybe he just doesn’t want innocent people paying for a Demons doing. . . Because it’s not their responsibility it’s His.
it doesn’t help that he is reckless, he could be far more carful to minimize the damage delt if he wanted, so he Is at fault here as well.
(this is also why lady takes it out of his cut)
A lot of people like to point out that Dante is ‘Picky’ about the jobs he takes, yes but is he gonna take a job that Doesn’t have demons involved or seem suspicious? No.
his job is to kill Demons the money is a bonus, it doesn’t matter to him. so why would he waste time on a job without demons, it’s gonna be far more boring then a regular job plus he’s not gonna do regular mercenary work he doesn’t want to kill humans.
(there are rare cases he does tho. Like back when he was Tony, he’d kill corrupt people, Drug dealers, weapons dealers, other illegal and immoral things. Anyone working for the mafia along with its rivals ect. In fact he wiped out 2 mafia families- don’t get me wrong tho he didn’t kill everyone in the gangs just the worst one probably and again he doesn’t Like to kill humans, he was more of just a pain in the ass to the mafias getting in their way and such. he did take em out tho)
Also a lightly more obscure debt he has- his Pizza debt~
yeah, so in the first episode of the anime Dante ordered a pizza and the person on the phone mentioned his Tab there,
apparently Morrison had called and told them not to deliver any pizzas until he paired his tab.
I kinda wonder if Morrison has ever paired this for him before?
(my personal idea is that it’s a smaller restaurant and Dante has a pizza tab he pays monthly~ manly because of the way they talk about it. It doesn’t sound like a normal tab since those are usually paired at the end of the work day)
What else self sabotage does Dante do regarding his finances?
his actual jobs, Dante is generous with his jobs.
if they can’t afford to pay him in full sometimes he’ll give them a discount or heck even do it for Free, this is because he doesn’t really care about the money. (I don’t think)
He just wants to keep people safe from demons.
thats his job, (thats his obligation. As Sparda’s son~ or whatever)
and heck I wouldn’t be surprised if he took a few pizzas or ice-cream
as payment!
as much as Dante Complains about his debts to Lady and such
and as excited as he gets about Big money jobs he Doesn’t Care.
he is once again putting on an act.
Dante doesn’t care about the money it’s not why he’s in the business.
If he wanted to make money he could up his prices, or do additional work. The money doesn’t matter
The only reason I can see him being exited about big money is that-
‘hey! I get to keep the lights on! And flush my toilets!’
any Money Dante makes goes to others.
he pays Enzo yearly, he has Grue’s girls trust fund and however much money goes in to that, he pays for the property damages,
He has his tab at the pizza place he orders from, he has Lady’s debt (which is debatable) he’s Generous about his prices.
and anything he has left goes to bills for the shop,
Honestly he’d be lucky if he had enough left over for
pizza and ice-cream
Dante probably just isn’t concerned with money even tho he can barely keeps his lights on or his water running.
Man cant even flush his toilets and lady is workin money out of him~ joke
this is depressing~ everything about this man is depressing good lord!~
Keeping people at a distance/Pushing people away- Lady, Patty and Nero:
When it comes to these girls he Can’t get rid of them no matter how much he ‘Wants’ to their stuck with him.
he can’t push them away like everyone else, which yes he still has people like Morrison, Trish, (and any others) but their not around all the time, neither are Patty and Lady,
When they’re (lady and Trish+) gone he doesn’t bother to talk to them,
I don’t think he goes out of his way to interact with people.
which means if he doesn’t leave his office and nobody comes by to give him a job or annoy him the only social interaction he gets is over the phone when he orders pizza. Well thats not good~
(I believe Dante is a depressed Ambivert)
it’s less of pushing the people he has away and more of making no effort to Keep them around. He just doesn’t want them to get hurt
So- why are they so special?
It’s because They don’t leave Dante Alone.
even if it’s been a long time they still come back to check in on him.
no matter what he does or doesn't do they come right back ready to annoy him like no time has passed at all.
Patty was a child when they met and probably had a lotta trauma from those events, Dante protected her and made sure she was safe, he was never really a jerk to her, just an ass. (He’s always an ass it’s not new~)
so of course she was gonna become attached to him no matter how much she acts like she hates the guy, she’s a Kid.
Kids attach to people pretty easily.
their relationship is kinda like siblings, you love em to death but half the time ya wanna em dead because they get on yur nerves especially.
if you have to pick up after their mess. like Patty does for Dante
(this is also a lot like my relationship with my dad so I could also see it as a parental figure as well but I would not wish that upon poor Patty for. . . Reasons)
The same applies to Dante as well.
as much as he complains about this annoying kid that keeps coming to his office, Dante Cares about Patty, he tries to keep her safe and he seemed genuinely sorry when he let that comment about parents slip out in the 11th episode.
He also blocked her view several times when he kills demons in
Episode 1 which is a neat detail.
look at how Dante smiled in episode 7: wishes come true.
When Patty pesters him about her 10 ice-cream cones he owes her.
(little Lady indeed)
he’s amused by the kids antics and I’d bet you he probably got her some ice-cream. (It could just be an animation thing but this is a
genuinely sweet moment to me regarding these two)
Patty came by a lot and regularly cleaned up his office which is something I don’t quite understand, because she’s a kid.
why would she start cleaning this grown ass man’s mess? She has no reason to. And Patty would probably say something like
‘oh I don’t want to be seen in this filth’ or something along those lines and go on about how he's a lazy slob who naps to much.
the only logical reason I found for why she would do this.
was that since she visits him So often she eventually had enough of his mess piling up and decided to take care of it herself then this kept happening, and she made sure to call him out on how much of a mess he is and his general laziness constantly,
but she Still cleaned the place up.
(and possibly got him to clean on occasion by smacking him with a broom/mop)
Dante probably got used to her presence in his office.
The clean space and company probably felt Nice.
something he hasn’t had in a while,
and Something he’s wanted for so long.
And I think that after Patty got reunited with her mom she didn’t come around far as often as she did before,
and after the end of the anime his depression came back full force because he missed Patty
(I think this may actually hold up with some lore Somewhere or I may be getting it mistaken for something else, I don’t know I know saw someone else bring it up tho)
he missed having her around. Having Someone there, I think Dante is the type of person who would enjoy nearly constant company but due to his circumstances he doesn’t allow it or can’t truly enjoy it.
so Lady~
As stated before she uses money and his debt to her as a way to check in on him, and the two have plenty of history tho we don’t know what happened after Dmc 3 it’s safe to say they were together for a little bit since they Are Friends, and They were both traumatized together~
(This sounds like a reach eh?)
Lady is technically his work partner, and when she leaves she’s probably gone for long periods of time but she always comes back,
the two of them Care about each other they just don’t want to admit it.
It’s why she doesn’t visit him like a normal person and instead has to use the excuse of his debt to her.
meanwhile Dante just kinda exsists in his office, not reaching out to her or anyone else for that matter.
she’s basically been there since the start, from Dmc 3 to Dmc 5.
she probably wasn’t gone the whole time in between 3 and 1-
initially there for a bit, collecting debt visiting here and there
But she was gone during 1 and when Trish left since she didn’t know Trish even existed.
besides Enzo and maybe Morrison lady is the only person he’s know this long and has a connection with.
there’s probably a lot more to say regarding their dynamics but I think other people have dine better jobs at that.
bottom line they both have history and care about each other they just don’t want to admit it
(she honestly seemed excited in 5 when she was with him but that Could have been because of Trish. . .)
After dmc 4- Nero:
Dante in Dmc 4 feels very Different from the others. It’s like he’s accepted Everything and and healed some, like he accepted that what happened to Vergil Wasn’t His Fault. he seems happier.
only to find out Vergil had a kid,
who is extremely powerful and doesn’t know what he’s doing or what’s going on and is in denial about What he is.
Dante probably had a lot of mixed emotions when I found this out-
His brother who he thinks died by his hands had a son
who neither of them knew of.
Dante Could have been a form of guidance for the kid if he’d known sooner, granted he wouldn’t do well at taking care of a child but still it’s the thought more then anything the ‘What if’s’
because ultimately he’s too late.
it would be the least he could do since he killed the boy’s father,
he would be pretty sad over the whole thing and I can’t express that. . .
I just don't know what to say on it other then-
Dante had very complex emotions and if he Was doing better and had closure after this much time, this would be like reopening the wound and just a huge punch to the feeling since he didn’t just take his brother from himself and failed to save him but he also took a father away from his son- his own nephew.
Who he didn’t even known about.
and it doesn’t help that Nero Looks like his dad (in theory)
And The best example I have of Dante almost successfully keeping someone he cares deeply about away is Nero.

the boy has his own life, Nero is busy with protecting and also rebuilding Fortuna. meanwhile Dante was being normal ol Dante sitting in his office Alone with his thoughts and the knowledge that Nero exists. this would probably send him in to another depressive episode
He has family after all these years of being alone but he can’t engage because he’d get Hurt and he didn’t want to cause more harm.
Tho he’d probably be happy that the kid had a decent life,
(from his knowledge) but also sad for various other reasons.
I feel like the both of them probably wanted to reach out but didn’t-
Nero looks up to Dante and admires him and what he can do, there’s lines in Deadly fortune where he says he wanted Dante to teach him how to do various things. But he was also very annoyed with the man because again Dante is an Ass, and doesn’t take shit seriously.
So he probably wanted to call and ask about things.
and Dante thought better of it because he ‘knew’ that if he did Nero would only get harmed in some way, even tho he can easily take after himself.
he could end up harming someone Nero loved in turn like Kyrie.
So the lest he could do is just leave the kid alone he already took his father from him he can’t take anything else.
(this isn’t saying Vergil would have been a good dad it’s just to say you don’t know what the outcome would have been and it could have been good or bad, he’d be having a spiral of thoughts mostly making it worse on himself so in that sense in the mind he Would be a good dad just to make it worse on Dante, knowing he took that possibility from them, brains are weird)
And leaving him with Yamato was the least he could do it was his fathers it rightfully belonged to him now.
He ignored the longing for his family and push it down with everything else. he successfully ditched Nero and gave him Yamato and later a Devil may cry sign as a parting gift. (At End if deadly fortune)
I donno if he’d slip back into as bad of a place as he was back in dmc 2 and the anime but he definitely wouldn’t be doin as well as he was before Dmc 4.
I think he had a hard time which lead to what we see in Dmc 5.

Dante Cares about everyone, he feels guilty for anything that’s happened around him, Enzo geting hurt, the deaths of his family, Orphaning his own nephew. Grue and Jessica’s deaths,
random peoples deaths to demons! Damages done.
He feels he doesn’t deserve some things because of this.
he gives the people who can’t fully pay him a discount.
he pushes Everyone away because he doesn’t want them to get hurt. he loves them. He cares about everyone and keeping the world around him safe from demons yet- it doesn’t give him anything back.
Dante cares So Much for the world that gives him hardly Anything in return!
Dante is so much more than just a guy to Joke about.
He’s not some wacky pizza guy.
He’s depressed and in pain. . .
Im not saying he cant be fun and goofy Im just saying he has so much more to him then that, and I wish more people talked about this instead of his love for pizza and his antics

I think what Dante really needs to feel better and to truly heal is his brother again. he seems like he was a clingy child and after all that loss he’s been through and the guilt he’d still be clingy but he’s deprive himself of it, he'd keep a distance from everyone Nero especially because it’d just Hurt to much. He reminded him of his brother.
Which is why the ending of Dmc 5 where he’s reunited with Vergil
their BOTH Smiling and laughing and not trying to Genuinely KILL each other is so. . . beautiful or nice or Something!
because now he can finally be happy again he has the other missing half of his soul back, he has his brother. Who After all the hurt He went through as well, is just as happy to be with Dante.
The twins love beach other and they need each other.

I play the JPN version and this scene was INCREDIBLY shocking/had such a huge impact because it’s the first time I ever saw Ardyn angry. We had seen him sarcastic, serious, had battled him before.
But this was hatred in its purest state, real hatred and incredible anger. It was amazing, sent shivers down my spine. First time I heard and saw him so purely angered, so, so angered and hateful without the need to scream his lungs out.
I had no idea he was smiling and sounded more sarcastic in the English ver. Why change the visuals? I understand the change of text, but why the visuals? It was honestly the weight of the scene, to see him so purely angry and with such a pure, burning hatred.
Now I’m sad to know most of people know the smiling version. I mean, it’s great, but it feels like they took a majorly important thing out; first time Ardyn lets his real feelings show and now it’s not there for the English version….
Someone might believe that it’s a minor change, but it can change a lot of things.
English version, sarcastic and smiling, depicts an Ardyn that’s making fun of Noctis; he’s taking facts to his vantage to make Noctis feel bad. It’s some sort of “I know you hate that I’m your relative so I’ll rub it on your face, hahahaha looolololol”. Which is good! Twisted and funny. But I think JPN has more impact because:
Japanese version depicts an Ardyn that’s showing his real feelings for once. He’s sarcastic and mocking all the game, maybe serious once or tiwce, but never angry; until this scene. With the end so near, it doesn’t take a genius to know Ardyn is remembering about his brother and all that he lived through.
And this stupid creature that’s Noctis; he who did nothing and was blessed by the Astrals anyway, he who did nothing and was chosen by the gods anyway, there were Ardyn gave up so much, so much time, so much effort, so much pain, so much of himself, all a life of tragedy, where Noctis was blessed with comfort and an easy life; he who is the descendant of his brother, trying to claim the throne that was originally Ardyn’s, that was supposed to belong to Ardyn’s descendants, not him, not a descendant of Somnus, not ever a descendant of the people who betrayed him in such a horrible way…
This stupid creature…insulting him?

OF COURSE ARDYN WAS ANGRY AND LETTING HIS ANGER SHOW FOR ONCE, DAMMIT.
He’s been joking all along, but that’s because he was just amused of seeing how things developed. But now that it’s the end, so near to the end, all the joking and mocking is over. He’s not having fun anymore, things are all set to happen, and he’s ready for them.
I do not want to go on a long tangent and shit when it comes to my anger with and for parts of the English legalization of final fantasy 15 but I just have to make an exception with this. because I am unfortunately am stuck with the English version of the game (I play on console and I can't install any mods or anything that give back any of the original Japanese dialogue and stuff) and I was so confused why his expression looked so out of place in this scene when I saw it when I was playing NO WONDER IT FEELS OUT OF PLACE THEY FUCKING CHANGED IT TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE HE'S SMILING IN A SCENE WHERE IT THE ENTIRE BUILDUP AN ENERGY RADIATES ANGER AND FRUSTRATION THEY CHANGED HIS FACIAL EXPRESSION IN THE ANIMATION NOT JUST THE DIALOGUE IN THE SUBTITLES AND WHAT WAS BEING SAID LIKE A BUNCH OF OTHER DIALOGUE CHANGES BUT THEY LITERALLY CHANGED THE ACTUAL ANIMATION SO INSTEAD OF HIS FACIAL EXPRESSION BEING ONE OF ANGER IT IS ONE THAT FEELS LIKE IT BELONGS ON THE F JOKER WHEN BATMAN'S INTERROGATING HIM OR SOME SHIT

So here's my roundup of some of my favorite pink and red posts from the past few years.
When I first started working on Clotheshorse, I knew what I wanted it to look like/feel like: vintage imagery, cute details, and lot of pink, red, and artificial fruit. But I was also like, “UM...but will anyone take me seriously if Clotheshorse actually looks the way I want it to look?”
My life is full of anecdotes that involve men telling me that there was no way I could be smart AND like cute things. Like, a guy told me “There’s no way you read any of the books in your living room if you also have a Hello Kitty alarm clock.” REALLY DUDE?! Don’t challenge me to a literary criticism competition because I will defeat you!!!
But the fact is, many of us also internalize that line of thinking, regardless of our gender. Some of us naturally prefer a more tone-downed, minimalist aesthetic. But others (myself included) have felt that in order to be taken seriously, we have to express ourselves via neutral color palettes and a lot less ruffles and bows.
Reclaiming pink and cuteness is a pretty radical act in a society that pushes navy and neutrals as the “respectable” alternative. In a culture that considers anything “feminine” to be lesser. And years ago, one of the main reasons the Clotheshorse blog fell apart is because the team working on it felt that it should move into a more neutral aesthetic. That felt like a step backward for me and for all of the people who had found themselves being seen by what I was doing with Clotheshorse.
So I’m just going to keep posting cute stuff that is also thoughtful and researched. That’s what Clotheshorse is...authenticity, community, compassion, care, and...cuteness. And everyone is invited, no matter what you like to wear!
