“ Zip it, both of you. ”
“We tried to shoot him… but our rifles jammed.”
During the Battle of Okinawa, one of the bloodiest battles of World War II, many soldiers were wounded and left helpless on the battlefield.
Bullets were flying everywhere. Explosions shook the ground. Men were crying in pain, calling for help, while others were trying to survive.
But in the middle of that chaos, there was one man who kept going back.
His name was Desmond Doss.
He was different from the other soldiers. He did not carry a gun. He refused to kill. He entered the war not as a fighter, but as a medic. His mission was not to take lives, but to save them.
While others ran away from danger, Doss ran toward the wounded.
One by one, he carried injured soldiers to safety. Every time he rescued one man, he prayed:
“Lord, help me save one more.”
He was tired. He was weak. He was surrounded by enemies. But he kept going back. Again and again, he risked his life just to save another wounded soldier.
Years later, in a documentary, a former Japanese sniper who fought during that battle shared something powerful.
He said there were 12 men in their sniper unit, and all of them remembered Desmond Doss.
They saw him rescuing American soldiers. They aimed their rifles at him. They tried to shoot him.
But something strange happened.
“Every time we tried to shoot him, our rifles jammed. Again and again, we could not fire. I believe it was the power of God that protected him.”
As the former Japanese soldier told the story, he was already in his 90s. Tears rolled down his wrinkled face as he remembered the man they could not kill.
Imagine that.
The enemy himself testified that something greater was protecting Desmond Doss.
No gun in his hand.
No weapon to defend himself.
Only faith, courage, and a prayer.
Desmond Doss reminds us that when God has a purpose for your life, He can protect you in ways people cannot explain. The enemy may aim at you, but God can still block what was meant to destroy you.
Sometimes the strongest person is not the one holding a weapon.
Sometimes the strongest person is the one who keeps serving, keeps praying, keeps loving, and keeps saving others even while surrounded by danger.
Desmond Doss did not fight with bullets.
He fought with faith.
And because of that faith, many lives were saved.

That fucking chair probably chocolate too
Size comparison of Y’gathok, the Ceaseless Hunger and Bjorn, our level 20 Goliath Barbarian.
Hey quick question: why the FUCK do you have that
Imagine, from out of nowhere, your dm casually slapping this thing down on the table like any other encounter.
“Yeah, the fight will start in a sec, uh…I’ll give inspiration to whomever helps me get this fucking box out of my car.”
https://www.reddit.com/r/DnD/comments/7asxci/oc_ygathok_the_ceaseless_hunger_final_boss_of_our/ This is the reveal of this ridiculousness during their game
Please watch this reveal video it’s kickass
FUCK ME the reveal video
“CHRIS??????”
“Um, I don’t think our plan is gonna work.”
Always reblog Y'gathok
always ALWAYS reblog Y'gathok!
people will say “they’re only friends” and then show me two people who would crawl through broken glass to hear the other laugh once. two people who have memorized each other’s coffee orders, fears, childhood stories, and emergency contacts. two people who would haunt each other’s houses as ghosts. be serious.
Just an FYI—the original intention of this post was to challenge the way people say only friends, as though friendship is somehow lesser than other forms of love. As if being deeply known, cherished, and chosen by another person could ever be a small thing. Normalize profound platonic love. Some of the most fulfilling, transformative, and enduring relationships we will ever have are friendships. 🫶🏼

Fear not the author who predates a scene with “CONTENT WARNING: dehumanization, medical torture, gore, angst, hurt/no comfort, lack of bodily autonomy, and needles”. Because that will just be a mild angst scene at most with a lab back drop. But DO fear the author who says “lotssss of gore in this one guys” with no further elaboration.

All the actual weird anime out there and people mock Teasing Master Takagi-san and Don't Toy With Me Miss Nagatoro as "weird" shows that "weird guys" like
Mfw they're some of my favorites and there's literally not a single goddamn thing wrong with them and Takagi-san is in fact wholesome as fuck and about middle schoolers
Lil bitches really out here mocking men and only men for enjoying a show where a young guy gets teasing attention from a female peer he likes
Why the fuck do men have to tolerate hateful bullying and aren't even allowed to enjoy teasing that's done in fun
Honestly if men enjoy literally anything they're degenerate, if anything hurts them they're shedding man tears and whining about man pain and demanding emotional labor, if they have ANY standards and expectations it's misogyny, and if they don't meet others standards they're lazy and worthless
Let them have their goddamn anime where a female is "mean" to a relatable character but doesn't fucking hate his guts
Yknow what, this was a good post. Shut the fuck up about cute anime challenge
"Not a "crazed gunman", dad, I'm an assassin!"

i love that 17th century jewish poltergeist story where the family living in the haunted house calls a catholic priest for help before they contact a rabbi, because yeah, i think that would be my call too; id be like, oh? a demon in my house speaking latin and drawing inverted crosses on my wall in sulfuric bile? then without even questioning my faith i’d call up the catholic church and be like yo father, one of your boys loose come get him
“Look here pal, I know my religion, and this ain’t it. Whatever this guy is, they’re clearly from your version of things. Mind coming over to help fix things up?”
