We were outside for 40 minutes yesterday, and then it started pouring!! I grabbed Shion first, because he's most likely to bolt and the wind was STRONG. I sprinted back up the stairs to grab Nyx before she got soaked.

She then got to sit in the kitchen and watch the power flicker. Fortunately, it stayed on! It was v scary! Shion pic from before the storm and Nyx is from after with her emotional support cardboard 😅

Salgant's having a real hard time adjusting and I'm not sure how I'm going to handle it. He's always been the Helper Bunny, he never did anything first, he always waited for Maeglin to give the all clear and then he'd follow suit and secure the perimeter. Without her he's just sitting there under the bed, waiting. He comes out eventually to eat/drink/etc., but he doesn't post up at the door anymore, he's not binkying when I greet him anymore, he's not zooming around when I offer treats, he's only picking at food. He's much more skittish and alert and fearful than usual because there's not a second pair of bunny eyes and ears to help keep watch. He was always such a brave little guy, putting himself between Maeglin and the many lurking dangers of Spare Oom. I'm spending as much time with him as I can, but he's less enthusiastic about it than I am. Unfortunately he doesn't think of me as another bunny, I'm the friendly giant that comes and Interacts with him on daily basis, but I'm not qualified to weigh in on Bunny Matters. I've been able to coax him out for short periods to explore and get snacks and scritches, but then he goes and hides again. I went and ordered a plush bunny surrogate puppet that should arrive soon, I'm hoping I can use it to communicate to him that it's okay to come out and chill with me, and can snuggle with him when I'm not there. It's only been a week; I keep telling myself I have to be patient, but man it's tough seeing him be as depressed as I am.

When Sebastian died, Nyx hopped around looking for him and that broke me. When Chewie died, she flopped next to his body and understood he was gone.

She opened up to me slowly. It's just us, now. But we've gotten to the porch where she flops in front of me now! It is very hard for bun and human to go from a pair to just one.

It never gets lighter, but it gets easier.

Woe, Ranni be upon you!

I just wanted to post some pictures of my diot daughter. She is chaos, she is destruction, she is the worst and I love her very much. Craziest bitch I've ever dealt with but she is so adorable. Ranni the baby witch truly lives up to noones expectations but her own and I do not respect her for it. She has chewed through 3 of my dining chairs. This creature is a menace and a danger to society. I love her so much.

Update, guess who just ate a potentially poisonous plant! And is really really mad at me cause I gave her meds just in case! I couldn't even drive to the emergency room cause I had a few glasses of wine so you better not show any symptoms of poisoning you crazy lagomorph. But she ate a whole leaf of some other poisonous plant a while ago and was fine so... back then I didn't even realise for a whole day
