🚨VICTORY: The Supreme Court sided unanimously with a straight white woman in Ohio who filed a “reverse discrimination” lawsuit after her gay boss refused to promote her and instead promoted her gay colleagues.

Marlean Ames, a heterosexual woman who worked for the Ohio Department of Youth Services, sued after being passed over for promotion in favor of a lesbian woman and then demoted in favor of a gay man.

Lower courts had dismissed her case using a higher evidentiary standard for majority-group plaintiffs, but the Supreme Court ruled 9-0 that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act applies the same standard to everyone, regardless of identity.
