the first is that of a practice dummy: because it has the experience and the practice, it can endure and communicate when it is being hit or used in ways that are drifting into greater risks than wanted

the second is that of an instructor: it can give as well as recieve, and can teach ropework, impact, psychological play, and provide a gear to try things that hadn't been considered before

thirdly, it is simply a good submissive: it can communicate its needs clearly and understands submission instinctively. it has done the work, and thus can play more freely

I’m sure after weeks and weeks in the bare basement without any enrichment (outside of the injuries I’ve gifted you) you must be starving for a task. A job to do. Don’t you want to be useful?

The upstairs needs to be prepped, it’s just not set up to hold a pet like you yet. You do want to live upstairs, don’t you? Where it’s warm and soft and nice? Of course you’d be happy to do the work to get the upstairs ready.

it’s not easy to hold onto a thing like you. So many long heavy screws to fasten the eye plates to the walls, to give me someplace to lock your chain. So many bars and bits and pieces to assemble your cage. The sensors that set off your shocker need to be placed and calibrated. Feet of chain and rope and tape need to be sorted and stored and maintained. My whips, paddles, and crops need to be put away but always close at hand. The leather of your collar should be conditioned and the metal of your cuffs polished.

I’m sure you’d do it well. Of course youd try to be incompetent at first. Why properly screw in a padlock anchor when you’re hoping to unscrew it later? Soon you’ll learn the rewards of a job well done. Soon you’ll realize that I always catch your little attempts at incompetence and react accordingly.

Your howitzer is specially modified and calibrated, it's a tool of precision and things like this shouldn't be touched and "maintained" by someone who has no idea about how they are supposed to work.

The voice of your handler cuts through the silence accompanied by the sounds of her heavy boots

She comes up to you and lays her hand on your shoulder while lighting a cigarette with the other hand.

She looks at your mech and then at you, then at your wheelchair

"you don't like that they touch your machine? It's a part of you and you don't like to watch them working on it and touching it without you having any saying in it right?"

You nod

"well you It doesn't suprise me. The last time someone tried to repair your wheelchair without your permission the poor soul ended in the med bay if we remember right"

You nod again eyes still locked on the crew that slowly rises the platform to inspect your cockpit.

shes right. you hate everything about it, its not about your whapons even if you hate it that you have to recalibrate them every. its about some touching something thats a part of you without your consent or controlle.

" I will probably never understand how you feel but I do understand that this is difficult for you"

She grabs her comlink and sets it to the hangar crew frequenc

"maintains crew seven stop immediately. Hound poppy is on her way into the hanger, from now on all maintenance jobs will require her approval or supervision understood?"

She turns towards you

"grab your skeleton and show them how it's done hound that's an order"

Your eyes light up and you instantly roll over to your exoskeleton. You put it on stand up and go into the hangar.

Your handler stays behind looking at your wheelchair.

"it's a part of you, an extension of your body. I wonder how this feels."

She walks over and is about to lay her hand on your wheelchair before she hesitates
