To most, this was no time for games, but it had been way too quiet for Clementine’s liking. She had to try to make the others happy. “It’ll be fun! Promise!”

"I-I can?" She thought about it for a moment, shuffling her feet a little. On one hand, she could be going anywhere, and there were probably others- and some of them might not be all that welcoming. But, on the other, she needed a place to stay for a while. "Thanks."

"——yeah," Leah said, unsure of what to say in response. She bit her lip for a few moments as she looked down at her. "Do you need help?" Don’t be stupid.

She didn't want to admit that she needed help, but she did. Clementine nodded and answered her quietly." "Yeah."

She pulled him a little further, giggling quietly at the two pairs of footprints that appeared behind them. She paused, looking up at him in confusion. "You don’t? Why not?"

He shrugged a little and looked back at their footprints. He had to make sure that he could remember how to get the two of them back to camp. "I’m going to guess you like winter?"

"Oh." She shrugged, knowing that not everybody was going to like winter. But she wished they did. "I do! But, not when we have to be outside... Y'know?"

"Yes, teaching is fun. Sometimes.”

"I think I'd like being a teacher." She admitted, trying to imagine it. "Maybe I will be."

"Well, thank you Clementine." The man smiled at the little girl. Then raised a brow. “I think I was a good teacher. I HOPE I was.”

She nodded, and another moment of silence passed before she asked her next question. "Is being a teacher fun?"
