Retro Vintage Motivational Quotes.
These awesome examples of anamorphic artwork were created by Truly Design, an Italian graffiti crew-turned art and design collective. The crew keep busy working in the fields of illustration, fine art, graphic design, and even teaching, but it’s their clever and beautifully executed anamorphic street art that really stops us in our tracks.

Magoz is an illustrator from Barcelona that lives and works in Bristol, UK. His illustrations are visually appealing, using few elements and colours, he plays with the communicative part of the images, focusing on the conceptual value. Each commission is a new question that has to be answered using metaphors and the poetry behind each image.
Type Tiles
A friend of mine was telling me about these ceramic tiles in Liberty’s department store in London. A gun toting octopus, a smoking fish and a Dodo in a bowler hat, these mischievous, anthropomorphic animals that accompanying these decorative letters seem like something from an adult version of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
The eccentric images have been taken from Rory Dobner’s intricate ink drawings. A continual drawer and doodler, he has a library of old sketchbooks built up over the years. Rory has been commissioned by a long list of individuals (Kate Moss, Robert Downey Jr, are listed), and companies including several fashion houses.
Thanks to Massimo Martinetti for the photo and introducing me to them.

Hey lovely people!
This week, I head down to the good old central library over at bugis for an awesome screen printing workshop. My first attempt at probably the most versatile medium I have ever encountered. It was easy, and cost effective in my opinion.Â
Our task was to first think of any word, literally any word and look at their characteristics. Reliving my inner goth-chick, I decided to go with the word "Blood". I started with the classic serif font (atas word in typography to describe letters with a straight line across their tops and bottom) and drew a bunch of drippy droplets on it.Â
Next, we used a pencil to outlined our initial sketch and used a water resistant based ink (i think it might be called decal ink) to draw out our design with a brush. Followed by a flooding process of fabric ink. The effects was so cool and crisp and clear. Remember to check out my instagram @clarrot to look at the end product!
The workshop was brought to you by Press Play an initiative by the National Library Board and conducted by Monster Gallery.

Welcome to the world of the illustrators.Â
Truth be told, I can't draw for nuts and I've slowly come to terms with this fact. Why am I here at FLABSLAB then? Featuring my fabulous of a friend, Jenson, I tagged along to FLABSLAB's F**king Friday, pretty much a chill out, hang out, draw out event. Not exactly exclusive, but everyone pretty much knew everyone.Â
Just a short introduction to FLABSLAB, (though truth be told I'm not exactly sure what they do) you could head down to their Facebook site and their quirky paragraph on their "about" section and you'll understand they're just curators of awesomeness all around.Â
I entered into a world of doodle orgasm.Â
I kid you not, everyone could just grab a sharpie or coptic marker and start waving them like ****ing magic. I met one of the coolest illustrators named Marina and chatted. She introduced us to people around and made us felt in place for once.
Overall, it was intimidating for a nobody to enter (well, I was shamelessly trying to not be awkward). Yet, you have this overwhelming feeling and motivation to be somebody.Â
I may not be the best illustrator, but here's to my journey to become a kickass designer. If you're here with me, dream on and most importantly, live on!
Back here at Gillman Barracks for MBBTSG
Makanlah Buah-Buahan Tempatan Singapura; celebrates the special moments or memories we all share together in Singapure. It is also a collaborative endeavor of local creative individuals to promote local fruits, as well as to rally the nation to appreciate consume locally crafted art. After all, art is also one of the fruits of our homeland.Â
I also stared at Underscore Mag for awhile, imagining if I ever truly work there. I would probably be living my dream, working towards my own studio. Damn, it's nice to dream on... If you're in the area, do head to Gillman Barracks, awesome art exhibits awaits you. Hey, legend has it, they serve Ramen Burger around the area! Tell me if you wanna go there, let's have tea :)

My Garden by Petra Blahova
Through my obsession with Marina Abramovic, the constant google search, youtube videos and tumblr searches, I chance upon this Pixel based video game version of her famous “ The Artist is Present”. Created by Copenhagen-Based game creator Pippin Barr, this game mimics the exhibit experience and I stayed up late at 10.30pm (GMT +8) to “ queue” for this exhibit. I must say, I was so detailed, every element, from the $25 admission ticket, other exhibits of MoMA, bodyguards, to waiting in line just to look Marina in the eyes. I screenshot my attempts and as you can see, much like the real exhibit, the queue was unbelievably long. The big question might be, “ so did I manage to see Marina?”. Unfortunately, I gave up, I pretty much figured it the objective of the game is the sarcasm that comes with the creator’s interpretation of The Artist is Present as a whole.Â
Give it a try at  www.pippinbarr.com/games/theartistispresent/TheArtistIsPresentÂ
tell me how you fair and did you get to see Marina?
