but when Ralph wrote “accept that she’s not the love of your life because if she were she’d still be in it” ??? that actually pulled me out of a funk.

like I thought I was in love with a guy and he completely cut me out of his life after I confessed my feelings. The month he cut me off and I was dealing with my best friend not being around anymore, 5x02 came out and that line really pulled me up by my boot straps.

the way it’s presented is corny but ralph insisting that the book will help cisco comes not from believing himself to be some kind of relationship guru, but because ralph recognizes the hurt that cisco is feeling and the book was the only thing that helped him and he doesn’t want his friend to hurt anymore

Day 6: Soulmates

‘Okay, so’, the meta took a deep breath, ‘soulmates.’  His casual statement was met with a long silence. ‘What the fuck?’, Cisco finally breathed out. ‘I see soulmates. Well, I see the potential of soulmates. I call them soul-auras.’

Notes: Based off of the soulmate au where anything you write on your skin shows up on your soulmate’s body as well. This is a bit of a shorter fic compared to some of the other ones I’ve posted for fic week, but I hope you enjoy!

The first thing Cisco learned about his soulmate was that she likes to doodle. He figured she does it when she’s bored. At various times of day, Cisco would look down and see a flower or a star doodled on his arm in black ink. It was always simple designs, nothing too complicated. She would spend minutes doodling different types of flowers all down her arm. Cisco would stare down at his arm and watch it unfold. The inked line seemed to have a mind of its own as it manifested itself on Cisco’s skin.
