JESTER HAD NEVER seen Pierrot this upset before, not since he watched Columbina be killed in front of him. He tried all his usual methods to get him to calm down, but there was no reasoning with him when he was like this, so all he could do was follow him and hope he didn't do something reckless that could put himself or the rest of the troupe in danger. He had managed to follow the crazed monster to someone's house, which he wagered was probably Evelyn's. By the time he opens the front door, the inside is a complete wreck; items are strewn about everywhere, numerous cracks in the foundation, which he's sure were caused by Pierrot losing his temper and either pounding his fists against the walls themselves or slinging heavy objects at them. He could hear him upstairs, scrambling desperately through her drawers, trying to find something- ANYTHING that would clue him in to her whereabouts.
"YOU NEED TO calm down." Jester makes another attempt to soothe the beast, even wrapping his arms around one of Pierrot's, but he's quickly shoved off, which causes him to stumble and land on top of the nearby bed. Pierrot seems to pause for a moment, shooting Jester an apologetic look before resuming what he was doing. She must have left some sort of note behind... She just had to. There was no way she'd just leave without telling her cousin where she was heading off to. As if reading his mind, Pierrot comes across the note she had left behind for Sydney and quickly snatches it up, putting a small stop to his rampage. "So that's where she is... That's where you are, my love. I'll come and find you. Nothing will keep us apart. Nothing." He quickly shoves the note into his pocket and begins to step over the mess he made, making his way downstairs in a huff. Jester manages to get to his feet and follows after, once again trying to call out to him to get him to stop.
THE ONLY PROBLEM now was... Where exactly is Niagara Falls, New York? Pierrot has heard of this place before, but whether or not they've visited, he's unsure. He begins to search his pockets for his phone, but because of his carelessness, it seems he forgot it back at the circus. He stomps his foot a few times in anger before shooting Jester a glare as he points a finger at him. "Jester. Do you have your phone on you? I need it. Please." Jester almost shakes his head, but before he can even reply, Pierrot is quickly upon him, grabbing him by his collar and shaking him. "GIVE ME YOUR PHONE NOW!" That alone is enough to have Jester's eyes flashing to a bright purple, his claws circling Pierrot's wrists and digging in. "I don't know where you get off at yelling at me, but don't you ever take that tone with me again. Do I make myself clear?" The other monster releases his hold and takes a few steps back, tears trickling down his cheeks, "I'm s-sorry. I'm sorry... I shouldn't have d-done that, but I just- I need to hear it from her. I need to hear it face-to-face. Please. Just g-gi-give me your phone so I can find her and talk to her, tr-try to reason with her."
"IF IT'LL PUT an end to this madness... Here." Jester's eyes settle back to normal as he reaches into his pocket and offers his phone to Pierrot. "I hope you know you are putting us all at jeopardy by chasing after this human. Do we... not matter to you anymore?"
PIERROT TAKES THE phone from Jester and begins to enter the address, but the question posed to him does cause him to stop briefly. "Of c-course you do, of course. You.. You are like family to me. You will always be important to me but... but Evelyn is important to me too and I w-wish you could understand just how important she is to me which is why I.. I need to talk to her. I need to make her see she's mm-making a mistake by l-leaving me. I love her, I love her s-s-so much, more than anything and-and I just.. I can't bear the thought of her n-not being around anymore. Please just try to understand w-why I need to do this." With the address entered, Pierrot now knows which direction he needs to go, and with his abilities, he'll be able to make it there in no time. He glances back towards Jester and frowns, pressing the phone to his chest. "I know you don't care for humans, but this time, it's d-different. I will show you that not all humans are b-bad. Please... Just t-trust me."
AH... PIERROT. POOR sweet, naรฏve Pierrot. Even when the world has turned its back on our kind countless times, you still try so desperately to see the good, even if there's none to be found. How I sometimes envy your naivety... It must be nice to be so blissfully ignorant of how life really is. Jester remains silent as Pierrot tries to explain himself. He simply takes a step forward and laces an arm around the other monster's arm when shadows begin to crawl up from under their feet and swallow both of them. When they reappear, they're standing just a couple of feet from the hotel where Evelyn is staying. Pierrot hands the phone back to Jester and makes his way to the front desk, asking about Evelyn and what room she's staying in. The hotel manager seems reluctant to give them the room number, but with Jester's ability, the number is obtained, and they both head off in that direction; Pierrot starts to race off ahead as they grow closer and closer. He doesn't even wait for Jester to catch up before he's pounding on her door, asking to be let in. Not even waiting for a reply, he slams the door open and gawks at her when he stumbles through the opening.
"THERE... YOU ARE. I knew I'd find you. I've been looking for you everywhere, and now... I've finally found you."
