But he had his gem back now, curtosy of his adorable boyfriend, and things seemed to be cooling down.

Well, that was untill his thoughts were interrupted by a sharp pain through his stomach. His entire body flinched, immediately responding by pulling up his shirt and looking at his gem. It was pink as normal, but purple spots were slowly spreading on its surface accompanied by a burning pain through his entire body. The transformation was slow at first, starting with splotches of pink and purple on his skin, followed immediately by horns popping from his head. The further it progressed the more intense the pain became, leaving him curled up on the ground just trying to endure it. But he soon became numb to the pain as the corruption spread, eventually taking his entire body, leaving something not entirely him behind. A small creature, cat like in appearance but about the size of a husky*

A gem dropped to the ground. Ama felt like he was sinking. The world around him crumbling. Where was he? Floating in an empty plane of darkness. His body was changing on it's own, he had no control over it. Form glitching as it tried to stabilize itself, settling somewhere in between what it once was and corruption. For what felt like forever he stayed there. Trying to get the scales on his arms to go away. Trying to erase the tail that had sprouted. But, no matter how hard he tried they just stayed, so he gave up.

It was bright for a moment. Then he reformed landing softly on the ground. And with him came a sudden flood of memories. A new sense of awareness. He looked around, processing. This was odd...
