Demon Theory
I've been meaning to write this all out for a while, and with chapter 5 on the horizon, I better spit it out. This theory isn't terribly coherent or researched, but I need to vomit out my thoughts.
With chapter 4 doubling down on the references to demon summoning, I think it means something. My theory is ultimately pretty simple. I think the original identity of the soul within Kris is a demon.
First is the fact that Kris has clearly been dealing with the soul for a while. The birdcage and their practiced mannerisms suggest they've been dealing with an independent soul for a while.
The bigger evidence I think is the weird route. The actions the player takes in the weird route are very... deliberate. Unlike the geno route, which is pretty straight forward killing, the weird route clearly has an end goal. Notably, one which we are working towards with no context. I think the weird route is us carrying out the demon's plans in its absence, much like how the geno route had us fulfilling Chara's will, without actually being Chara.
This malevolence would also explain why Kris is so hostile to the soul despite us potentially not really giving them a reason to hate us. Kris has no idea a swap has occurred.
Why did Kris summon a demon soul in the first place? This bleeds into another theory, but I suspect the Knight has Kris' original soul. Kris used their soul to try and save Dess, only for them to become the fucked up human/monster hybrid we never saw in Undertale.
Under this theory, I would suspect the second voice put us in Kris to override the demon's will. Or maybe the demon is the character we are diagetically playing as?
Wait, chapter 4 paints up pretty clearly as an angel, not a demon. Hmm.
I dunno. This interpretation has some interesting links, but it might ultimately be too flimsy.
Shocked it took this long for me to learn about the D-rex. Apparently people hate it? Why? It does a way better job representing In-Genās crimes against nature than that albino allosaurus with dental issues.
It still pisses me off that Indominous has both carnotaurus and majungasaurus dna, yet zero horns.
I can be a dino accuracy stickler sometimes, but if you arenāt going to be accurate, then at least go weird and cool. D-rex does a good job in that respect.
Inferno Theory
Ever since chapter one, Iāve had a thought about darkners. So far, it is nearly impossible to kill them. They either run away, or get immobilized.
I think this is linked to their nature as objects. After all, even if you violently pummel a playing card with a hairbrush, you donāt really kill it.
So far, only the Knight has managed to hurt a darkner in a way that matters. Well, except for Noelle. Itās unclear if the darkners die when frozen, but Spamton not coming out for Tenna suggests heās dead.
Where am I going with this? Itās actually pretty simple. Chapter 5 is a plant based dark world. The vast garden is engulfed in an inferno of jealousy.
Iāve seen plenty of speculation as to what jealousy is to blame, but few seem to talk about the fire itself. I think flower king is going to burn down, probably killing all the darkners too.
I can imagine an intense escape sequence as the fun gang flees, grabbing all their recruits along the way.
Not really a theory, but I havenāt seen anyone really talk about it.

Ultimate Custom Monster Companion CYOA
This took a while, but it's finally here! Due to quirks of ICC, some things have been changed from the static version, but its mostly all here. Most notably, if an option has an addon for the soul you chose, you must take the addon.
Changes from the static version: Prefabs have been swapped out for combos. Souls now comment on options they like/dislike. A few new options throughout. Worlds section has not been included. It felt under-baked, and if it returns, I'd like it to be much more fleshed out.
Feedback appreciated! This is a much bigger cyoa than my previous two, so there may be bugs, typos, and other errors.

As far as I can remember, I've always been LGBTQ+ accepting, but what really made me realize how absurd everything was, was stumbling upon a thread someone wrote on twitter about intersex individuals.
It's kinda crazy how much random hormonal imbalances can affect mental, physical, and sexual characteristics independent of supposedly "hardcoded" things in our DNA. It really puts into perspective how fluid biological binaries are.
Gender and identity are incredibly varied and fluid, and it seems silly to try and force everyone into a rigid box based on arbitrary definitions, when every aspect of our being is found on a binomial distribution, with each aspect not necessarily matching every other aspect.
