I went to a Baptist church (I’m Catholic but my grandma is Baptist and took me there) and I don’t know if it was just for Fourth of July but why do you have 60 American flags and one cross? This is a church? Why are we singing songs about America and talking about how America is especially important to God? It felt like such idolatry
I was Baptist from birth until I was about 13, though it was my Grandma that kept me in the faith, not my parents. And our church was exactly like that ... 😭 preacher would talk about his firearms mid sermon, as in whats on his person, about America being a key to the end times that introduces the rapture, Catholics being the 'modern pagan of the world' and 'piloted by Satan'... it was an absolute mess, no wonder i despised Christianity for a while..

« Christianity is a Male centered religion » No Christianity is a everyone centered religion. If your religion relies on existing one without the other then it’s bullshit. Religion shouldn’t rely on gender especially when gender is gender construct.
I understand that most of time God is represented as a he but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. This idea that God being represented as a man is bad just because he’s a man is just bio essentialism.
We have a saying that goes "God will make the floor as you take the step" to mean that the work of God will work itself out as it goes, and not before. You start doing and God makes the means. I like the image of trusting enough to step into nothingness and God making the floor as your foot is about to hit it.
omg im shaking ... at the very beginning of my Catholic journey, I realized I had lost my SS card, so I prayed to St. Anthony for help. I pledged that if I found it, I'd truly follow Catholicism rather than dipping my toes into it and running away.
I just found it, 6 months later. Underneath of all my retired tarot cards. I finally decided I'd put them away today, and sitting all pretty, my SS card was there.
Of course, I decided to follow Catholicism before I found my card, on my own terms, but its still very relieving to finally have my card back.

keep thinking about the series of dreams I had this morning ... I can't recall it entirely, but I know I was struggling against a demon while calling for help. I'd wake up, feel freaked out, go back to sleep, and the dream would pick up where it was left off. It was 3-4 dreams, and i ended up sleeping until 11:20am..
