there is no hairstyle that beats the humble braid. while the ponytail often causes headaches, and the half-pony sometimes doesn’t keep all of the hair away from one’s face, the braid looks cute and allows one to rest their head on the back of a chair. while the hair is braided, one may look either like a shojo protagonist, a medieval princess, or a quaint shepherdess. the added bonus of having mermaid waves afterwards is the cherry on top.
