If there is one thing that really upsets me, it's when something an artist has worked so hard on, has been leaked. I get the fact that many of us are fans and want at least something to remind us of when we saw them, but when you were told explicitly that you were not allowed to have your phone on you. You knew that when you bought the tickets, they constantly repeated it when we get there, AND they take the extra precaution to lock our phones up so that we don't record anything. YOU EVEN GOT THE GIFT OF LISTENING TO PREVIEWED SONGS THAT WON'T BE RELEASED FOR ANOTHER MONTH, and yet you still have the audacity to leak the video. I get the fact that everyone is going to see the official recording eventually, but you don't respect the wishes of the people that you're a fan of.
Let me just say this, if you worked on something for so long, and you wanted it to be a surprise but someone spoils it by sharing it with people, without your consent, you'd be fine right. It's fine cause they're a fan of your work and they wanted to share it, despite your protests and all the precautions you made.
This doesn't just mean music, I'm talking about all aspects of art.
Respect the wishes of those you stan. It's only fair for them, and for the fans who understand how much work has gone into what they do.
