Realisation had hit me some months ago (= a year? more?), and it happened again 1-2 days ago.

(Sorry for no exact quote below, summary only.)

In one of the articles (in the book Auto-Biografie und Andere Fuilletons, compiled & with comments by Doris Hermanns) Chris (I) stated that . . .

"I have (3?) pugs—raven-black pugs." (exact words, as memory serves (my translation).) The pugs are dad & two sons. The dogs couldn't ride a tram in München (Munich) normally because of people who smoked inside. Later, smoking in trams had been forbidden.

THEREFORE, how could Chris be a smoker if own dogs felt not all right around people who were smoking? Not a smoker, natürlich (of course.)

Sylvia is Manuela "Lela" von Meinhsrdis (self-incert) & Sybille is Frau Inge Lennartz.

(The drawing is in the end of an article which is a short funny story ~"French call them feuilletons" (Chris in an interview or something which I read as an article (my opinion is that 99 per cent probability, the article is in English; therefore time in USA.))

Radieung (bottom right under the drawing) means etching, which means . . . 1. an image is carved into any kind of metal using strong acid (the result looks like grooves), 2. Ink is rubbed onto the entire plate and after it is wiped clean, the ink remains only in the etched depressions*. The image is transferred to dampened paper through the pressure of a printing press.

(2 is copy & paste from a YouTube video (What is an etching? by WVU College of Creative Arts), found via Google search etching meaning.)

Hopefully, it's understandable.

Etching is the reason why this such very beautiful picture looks as if it's folded paper with front part glued to the result (therefore origami partly.) I love such similarity a lot.
