It was already visible from the game when Doll was sitting/sleeping, but good to know I didn't hallucinate it. They are identical boots, though upper layer got removed!

Don't know what would be the lore reason for Gehrman to keep just the boots except for "he can craft the clothes but has no idea how to make shoes". Guess one can't be master at everything.

On the other hand, headcanon I had that Maria's ribbon was reused to decorate Doll's hat is debunked I guess. Not only they appear to have different fabric texture, but also on Doll's hat it has distinct seam line. It was a fun headcanon while it lasted tho.

Guess that really only leaves the brooch as being the central piece of reuse. Again, an object that reflects Fishing Hamlet on "Maria" and Hunter's Dream on Doll does feel like something significant. It should be somewhere on her Cainhurst outfit and on her Doctor outfit, if it is so significant.
