it's our party we can do what we want | maggie + chris
I canât think of a better place than the park, dude. Hope you arenât terrified of public affairs.
After hitting send, she clicked her phone to be on sleep mode while the other hand moved up so she could take a drag from the cigarette. In her opinion, she had definitely been smoking less than she had before. Because before she had most definitely been a chain smoker. And, as much as raspy voices were really sexyâ she wasnât going to risk throat cancer for that. Blowing the smoke out, she stabbed the cigarette out, leaving it in the public ashtray before she was entering the diner to change into her regular clothes. âLunch break,â she mouthed to one of her coworkers, who nodded at her as she went into the back. It was quick to change into her shorts, and a button up. Sunglasses were slid on as well as her hair was freed, she was in the mist of shaking it out as she pushed the door open to leave the diner. The park was thankfully not too far away from her.
It was exciting for her to meet up with Chris, a smile hard not to fight on her lips. Obviously, she wasnât in love with him anymoreâ but, that didnât make the other any less charming. She couldnât even call it a schoolgirl crush, it was just reflex when a nice, smooth, extremely sexy new person came into town. A crush here had to be a lot more than being attracted to a person. A lot more, really. Fingers ran through her hair, feeling happy that she was no longer a busgirl- not having to smell like her job as much when she left. She would be showering if she was going home since there still was a specific greasy smell on her, but, she wasnât, and she could deal with that. The girl was able to arrive at the park, finding a bench and taking up the entire thing by stretching her legs along the empty space and looking up at the sky. She thought about sending him a text to let him know she was here, but, she figured he could figure that out by, you know, arriving.Â
The "Cruise" ringtone he had set up for Maggie suddenly played (having forgotten to set his phone to silent before work). Receiving the text and reading it, Chris was sporting a mighty wide grin. That's when he snapped his fingers and pointed towards one of his co-workers, gesturing to the time. "Lunch break. Be back later," he said before heading to change out of his work clothes. There was no way in hell he'd be meeting Maggie in what he had been wearing. He didn't have the most fabulous job and he certainly didn't want to reek of it. Chris wanted to impress since this would be the first time they'd be spending time together. After all the attention he had been showered with, he felt the need to make a great face to face impression. Granted, he now knew where all the attention had been coming from, but Maggie still wanted to meet up with him even after no longer being under the love potion. A girl like Maggie was to be impressed - especially if he was looking for more opportunities to see the girl again.
Once he was all ready and changed, he stepped out of the grocery store and made his way to the park. Hope you arenât terrified of public affairs. That part of the text came to mind and he chuckled at it. Chris certainly had no problems with public affairs and he couldn't wait to show that to her. Actually, public settings for these sorts of things gave him a rush like no other, thus making the experience better in his opinion. Arriving at the park, his hands were in his pockets as he searched around. When his eyes landed on the girl he was looking for, he smiled and headed towards the bench. Slowly approaching it, he stopped right in front of it and unabashedly checked her out. "Nice legs," he said. Since she had taken up the entirety of the bench, he stepped closer and allowed himself to lift her legs up before sitting down and placing them on his lap. Chris leaned back against the bench, his arms resting on top of it as he turned his head to face Maggie. "Gotta say, it's really good to meet you in person."
