i need something to rely on || paul & gavin [task]
It had been a late night shooting for the movie, and months of almost solitude when working here at the location in Canada. It'd been four months, and they were looking forward to another month. That meant five months total of just the cast and crew on location. It's not like Gavin wasn't grateful. He loved his job, and acting was his favorite thing to do, but that didn't mean that five months of no family, and while he could call them, the wifi signal wasn't too strong so that meant no Skyping. He had always been close to his family, so leaving them behind was really taking a toll on him. It was why he and Paul had gotten so close, other than the fact that they were the two main stars of this film, they both shared that eminent loneliness. He understood it, so they had taken to hanging out together when they were done with their scenes.
Luckily they had most of theirs together, so their downtime was spent either working out, practicing, or hanging out in each others trailers. Something that they'd been doing a lot more lately because they were starting to hit the tougher scenes. The ones where it called for more tension, drama, and rigorous fight scenes. These were the downsides to being in a big time action drama. Gavin was kind of new to it, but Paul was used to these kind of films, they were his 'specialty', or so he'd told Gavin. They'd really gotten close, probably from all the time spent together. But it was nice to feel like you had some semblance of a family when you were away from yours, so he could appreciate Paul's presence. Plus, they'd have to spend even more time later, after the film was done being shot and promoting it came their way. He couldn't burn that bridge yet, not that he even would. HIs phone vibrated, and he glanced at it, sliding the code in and checking what his notification was. Paul. He'd sent a text that he was heading over and to have a sandwich with his name on it.
Rolling his eyes, Gavin smiled and started to make sandwiches for the both of them, knowing that he had to be careful in what he put in them because there were certain things they weren't allowed to eat while shooting. Directors were very specific in casting their roles and making sure the actors were in tip top shape. Gavin learned to heed that, because if they ate anything other than what was specified it was usually harder workouts, and if they continued, it would be their job. He'd rather not lose his job and possibly be blackballed all because he had no self control. Nope, he and Paul usually ate together to keep each other in line, and this seemed no different. A couple soft knocks on his trailer door and he knew that Paul was here. "Come in!" He shouted, remembering how, at first, Paul was too polite to come in unless Gavin personally invited him in. Heading for the other side of his place, he went to the door, opening it to his costar who seemed just as weary as he was. He nodded, letting him through the door and chuckling. "Long night, huh?"
