thought about redesigning the main cast so they actually resemble riley even if just through their outfits/hairstyles, plus some post-movie thoughts i had heeehee!
since the new emotions emerged at a very specific point of riley's life, their outfits are inspired by the firehawks and they kinda have the "sports team at the ready" vibe going on. weell. as ready as they could be. I was originally hesitant on this direction (bc at this point i was struggling to give them individualized outfits) but i think it ended up making sense that they're a bit more in sync with one another than the already individualized original five.
all the outfits can change over time, the specific references were just fun to put in there haha. i think anger is the only one with no reference. originally i was gonna make him dress up like coach roberts, but the black coach outfit was too similar to the new gang's tracksuits so i changed the main color. his one-sentence description is kinda funny, but i actually really like this design choice because it's still inspired by riley's interest in hockey. i initially wanted the rest of the emotions' outfits to reference riley's different interests instead of specific outfits she has, but. the problem was. it was so hard to find other solid interests that riley's into other than hockey🥲i still had fun with these outfits though.
