Spitting Cherry Pips

Okay I know we like to talk about how Kevin is unloved and ignored and brushed aside to deal with his issues with alcohol but I feel like that isn’t quite right anymore. Since Nora said she wished she’s been kinder to Kevin we’ve been given so much proof that he is cared for: Wymack making a deal with Kevin to make sure he’s going to therapy as much as he’s letting him drink. Kevin admitting Betsy carried him through his first year at Palmetto. Neil choosing to accompany Kevin into the courtroom instead of going after Andrew. Andrew going with Kevin to California, leaving Aaron and Neil AND knowing it would be hard for him to be back there. Jeremy reminding him he’s his friend too and pleading with him to take care of himself. Confirmation that Jean still loves and believes in Kevin despite everything. Kevin Day is not unloved. Sure, not everything is handled or handled well and there’s plenty room for improvement but it’s something, it’s enough that he’s still standing surrounded by people willing to cover him when he’s down and fight with him whenever he’s ready. Kevin is stubborn and strong and he WOULD do it alone if he had to but he doesn’t because he is not alone, he has help and he WILL get better
