Halloween Elephants - October 2019 The owner of one of the realty offices here in Marshalltown collects elephants and they have become so much her signature that she has a fountain outside the office with several large elephant statues. Each fall, once the fountain is shut off and drained, the elephants are dressed for the holidays. These are their Halloween costumes from 2019. MWM

Corn Harvest - October 2010 The sun was just right to make this corn almost glow as it was transferred from the combine one crisp fall day near Cresco, Iowa. MWM

fall color, some from 10/19, others from 10/23. some of our trees are beginning to dress up, and i’m doing my best to capture them in their glory. the pics here are out of sequence because anything that was taken in portrait mode had to be edited so tumblr would display them in the proper orientation! the ones on the capitol grounds were all done on the 23rd. five more to go!
