And then Jack dies.

It's a freak accident, but it puts Maddie WAY more on the anti-ghost defensive, so he sure as shit can't be doing any dramatic ghost half confessions now. Despite bad interactions in the past, Maddie ends up leaning on Vlad for comfort and somewhat expecting him to take up something like a parental role with Danny and Jazz—there's no romance, just the fact that he's there and should be helping now that Jack is gone.

Meanwhile, Danny immediately suspects Vlad had something to do with the accident and will hear no defenses. He makes it his life's mission to prove it was Vlad's fault because he just can't believe it was random circumstance. Jazz isn't sure what to believe but is too focused on keeping her mom and brother somewhat sane to be of any help to Vlad.

Tucker: I know. When they said we were getting a field trip in Gotham, I thought it would be a lot more exciting. Especially when they listed Wayne Enterprises as one of the tours.

Danny: Axion Labs had a better tour. All we've seen are hallways and closed doors

Sam: Don't forget the Wayne water fountain that was part of the original town hall of Gotham, before it burned to the ground and the fountain was bought out by the Waynes.

Danny: It was a fascinating twelve-minute wait for the small gush of water.

Tucker: Whats the tour guy saying now?

Danny: Don't know. Don't care.

Sam: Ugh, we should play a game. Make the time move faster.

Tucker: Sure, want to play Would You Rather?

Danny: We played that on the bus. How about Have You Ever?

Sam: We don't have anything to drink. Let's do Hot Seat.

Danny: Sure.

Tucker: Go head

Sam: Right, Danny, you're first. If you could sleep with any of the heroes in Gotham who would-

Danny: Red Hood.

Tucker: Good taste. Bouncing off of what Sam said, if you could sleep with any of the Waynes who-

Danny: Jason Todd.

Sam: You seem overly eager to answer these questions.

Danny: Is that a problem?

Jason: No I find it interesting

Danny letting out the highest pitch scream a man of 25 has ever made: !!!!!!

I’m Japanese, but I like drawing characters from different countries. This time, my American OC, Jack, talking about the U.S.

Before working on this comic, I learned a lot about America from people here on Tumblr, and I’m really grateful for that.

This is only Part 1, and there’s more to come. I think Japanese readers will enjoy it, but for American readers, it might feel a bit obvious or not very surprising, so maybe a little boring.
