i saw the tv glow when i was so young i can't even place it. the message was conflicting and i couldn't understand it, eventually it faded into the background. the soft light and gentle static remained constant. occasionally i would stop and listen, just long enough to get a confusing feeling or idea, but never enough to know what it meant. i began attributing these feelings to other things, they were always there but i never noticed the source, continuing to feel hateful and conflicted toward my very being. But then others around me saw the tv glow, i accepted it and eventually took a glance at theirs. it didn't seem all too bad, so i eventually sat in front of my tv and i watched. the picture slowly became clearer and the static faded to words and music. there's still things i've yet to figure out, some dead pixels i can't decipher, audio glitches from time to time, but the picture and many of the details are there. and when i look back at the first times i gazed into the bright light, i can see that the messages weren't so conflicting after all, i just wasn't equipped to decipher it. and the source of those feelings that used to allude me no longer seems so hidden after all.
