Growing up in an abusive household is a fucking trip dude……If you’ve never had someone angrily wash a dish at you or fold a sock in your direction then how are you gonna understand why I get nervous when you quietly do the laundry, or why I ask “are you mad at me?” when you set the bag of groceries down too hard? It’s a totally different way of living and it impacts you long after you’ve left the situation.

I really seldom reblog posts like this, but this one resonated SO fucking hard with me. 

Concept: My significant other and me, sharing a comfy chair by a fire in our backyard. The weather is cold, but we have a blanket and the heat from our bodies warms us. Cats and dogs freely roam our property. We discuss stars and things like love and science.

You deserve someone who loves you with all their heart, someone who will think about you everytime, someone who will be wondering every minute of the day what you’re doing, where you’re at, who you are with, and how you are. You need someone who helps you make your dreams come true, and make your fears go away. You need someone that treats you with respect, who loves you like no one no matter your flaws. You should be with someone that knows how to make you happy, really happy.
